Student Community Service
Program sponsored by the
Department of the Secretary of
State.
The purpose of this program is
to involve the community with
the Adult Rehabilitation Center
in Dashwood. (A.R.C. Industries)
The main aims of the project
are landscaping of the A.R.C.
property and public relations.
This includes organizing
volunteer help from the area in
working with the trainees at
A.R.C, during the cleanup.
Not only are volunteers needed
for the garden but also for
helping in the normal day at the
workshop. Skills that a volunteer
may possess such as sewing,
cooking, typing and woodworking
could be shared with the trainees
and help them grow. Even a
volunteer who feels he has no
special skills can still donate his
time and patience,.
