School will soon be over for all
the youngsters, and the leaders
for the Summer Day Camp are
busily preparing fun for the
children. They have just returned
from a four day training program
for playground leaders and are
filled with exciting ideas to make
your child's summer the best
ever.
They have planned to visit all
kinds of places, make all kinds of
crafts, and play all kinds of
games.
At the training camp they were
given the idea of a "scavenger
hunt" to collect items for crafts,
If each family in the community
could collect even a few of the
following articles, they would be
off to a good start: magazines,
old craft supplies, containers,
material scraps; complete games
and puzzles and anything at all
useful for crafts,
Wednesday, July 2 to Friday,
July 4, are the collection days
and, to make things more
organized, the leaders ask that
you bring the materials to the
Lucan School yourself or send
them with a child you know who
is attending.
Remember that July 2 is
Registration Day. Get forms at
the bank or at any of the three
elementary schools.
