The ladies of the church
catered, to over five hundred
people at their annual
Strawberry and Ham Supper on
Monday evening.
On Sunday morning the annual
Sunday School Anniversary was
held with the Rev. Grant Dawson
of the Kirkton-Woodharn
Pastoral charge taking the
service. His sermon was "The
Joy of Learning,"
The young people's choir under
the leadership of Mrs. Reg
Hodgert sang several numbers
accompanied by Agnes Bray who
played the organ, and Janet Bray
and Sandra Stewart on the piano.
The church was decorated with
fern, iris, peonies and hydrangea.
Quite a number of friends and
relatives attended the service
and spent the day in the com-
munity.

the UCW at the strawberry and
ham supper last Saturday
evening.
The Sacrament of Holy
Communion will be administered
at the United Church service next
Sunday morning.
The sympathy of this com-
munity is extended to Mrs. Ed
Bullock and relatives owing to
the tragic death of her grandson
John Sabot of Denfield, who was
struck by a hit and run driver
while bicycling last Friday
evening. John's mother was the
former Reta Bullock.
Mrs. Ken Larmer is a patient in
University Hospital, London,
following major surgery there,
Mr. & Mrs. Cecil Smithers were
guests at the Pickering-Inch
wedding in Crediton United
Church, Saturday. The groom is a
