June 21.

Staffa, 88, June 20.
Holy Land and she says, "I knew
I had to live there , . , it felt so
much like home!"
Her main work in Jerusalem
and surrounding territory has
been with Palestinian children.
She translates and prepares
illustrated Bible stories and
lessons to be presented to the
youngsters,
Miss Collar has personally
experienced some of the dif-
ficulties arising from the unrest
in the troubled mid-east. She was
in Jerusalem during the seige of
the six day war in 1967.
Recently, she was asked by 'the.
Israeli government to leave the
country. No reason was stated for
the request. However, she was
assured she could return at a
later date on a visitor's visa. She
hopes to go back in November.
All women of the Exeter area
are invited to meet and hear this
gifted woman at the Anglican
church hall. The meeting starts
at 10:30 a.m., followed by a cold
pot-luck luncheon.
Mr, Gordon Hamilton who has
spent the past six weeks in South
Huron Hospital was taken to St.
Joseph's Hospital last week,
Mr. Howard Switzer of
Kamloops B.C. is spending a few
dayswith his sister andbrother-in-
law Mr. & Mrs. Wilson Morley
and other relatives and attended
the Switzer reunion at the
Kirkton Community Centre last
Sunday.

Laura Collar, a resident of
Jerusalem for the past 15 years,
will be the special speaker at
Christian Women's Club, Friday
morning.
Miss Collar, who is originally
from Wingham and who is
presently visiting her brother
there, was a missionary in Africa
previous to her taking up
residence in Isreal.
It was during a furlough iron),

father, the bride wore a floor-
length gown of white sheerganza.
The bodice had an inset square
bib of pleated, sheer, trimmed
with a ruffle of sheerganza. The
collar was also accented with a
ruffle, The sleeves were
delicately puffed at the' elbow and
then gathered at the wrist. The
full circular skirt fell into a
chapel train. A headpiece
trimmed with seed pearls held a
short, scalloped veil.
She carried' a nosegay of pink
sweetheart roses, baby's breath
and dried purple flowers.

of Crediton sang a solo.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride wore a gown
which she designed and made
herself. The gown featured a
wedding band collar of white
polyester lace, with a low scoop
neckline accented with sheer
chiffon, The short lace sleeves
were gathered with chiffon to a
lace cuff. An A-line skirt of
chiffon over satin textured arnel
lining fell from an empire waist.
A detachable chiffon train fell
from the waist and was trim-
med with Jaclyn lace. The
jewelled headpiece held an elbow-
