Mrs. Ron Carroll and Brenda and Mr. & Mrs. Ian Bertram of Glasgow, Scotland returned home from a two week holiday with Mrs. Carroll's uncle, Mr. & Mrs. Bill Bertram, Eston, Saska tchewan. They visited at Banff and the ice fields, and reported a won- derful trip. Mr. & Mrs. Robt. Steele and Shery, London, were Friday evening dinner guests with Mr. & Mrs. Heber Davis. The Davis' also entertained Mrs. R. Dickins, Exeter, and Mr. & Mrs. Jack Hunter, of Calgary for lunch Monday. Nancy Tindall was guest Sunday afterniibn at 'a birthday party for her friend Robin Revington, Lucan, Mr, & Mrs. Murray Simpson, St. Marys, were Sunday evening guests with Mr. & Mrs, Wayne Carroll. Many from this community attended anniversary service at St. Fouls, Kirkton, Sunday. Mrs. Heber Davis attended the services at Centralia united church Sunday school an- niversary . Many attend funeral Many from this community attended the funeral of the late Raymond Greenlee, Wednesday, Mr. Greenlee was a former resident of this community and' attended St. Patrick's Church. FRED BOWDEN CENTRALIA A large congregation, including ' many visitors attended the Sunday School Anniversary service in the United Church on Sunday morning with the Rev. Douglas Warren of Crediton as guest minister. Rev. Warren speaking on the "Call of God," vividly described God's call to Samuel,Isglah and the Apostle Paul, The special music for the service was provided by a junior choir under the direction of Mrs. Ray Mills. Two anthems were sung and a processional and recessional hymn. Kenneth Hodgins and Sam 'Skinner presented the Sunday School awards, Ushers were Brian Hicks and Don Wilson. Baskets of flowers and a beautiful Gloxinia plant added a touch of spring to the service, Personals Mr. & Mrs. Russell Wilson and family spent the weekend at their cottage at Shepherd Lake. Mr, & Mrs, Lawrence Hirtzel, Mr. & Mrs. Chas. Sims of Crediton and Mr. & Mrs. Paul Baker of London were holidaying for the weekend at Clam Lake. Mrs, G. F.
