Tuesday night, Harold Simpson proved to be the best competitor with a plus of 16 and aggregate of 28 to go with two victories. In second place came Leone Brock with two wins, a plus of 15 and 32 aggregate. Clarence Down was third with a plus of 9 and 27 aggregate. Finishing up the first five were Morley Wadsworth and Howard Ince. Ladies dominated play Saturday night taking the first three spots on the prize list. Olive Hicks was home first with a double victory, plus of 18 and aggregate of 30. LillianPym was runner-up with a 17 plus and 26 aggregate along with two wins. Kay Snelgrove finished third followed by Ivan Hill, Nelson Squire, Hub Willoughby and Harold Simpson. Competition was also close Thursday with Stan Roth taking top honours with two wins, a plus of 19 and 24 aggregate. Atoms win in soccer The Exeter atoms downed Goderich Hearts 4-1 Saturday to win their second consecutive Huron Minor Soccer Association game. A week earlier they blanked the Seaforth Kickers 5-0. David Shaw scored all four goals Saturday and with the same number of successful shots a week ago brought his two game total to eight, Bradley Kernick scored the other goal against Seaforth. In the mosquito division, St. Columban edged Exeter 3-2. The Exeter goal scorers were Bruce Shaw and Peter Parsons. In a similarly closely contested squirt game, Goderich edged Exeter 3-2.
