The bride wore a wide brim-
med white hat trimmed with an
organdy bow, She carried a
bouquet of roses, baby's breath,
stephanotis and carnations.
Christine Tuckey, London,
sister of the bride was the maid of
honour. Martha Kneale, Beach 0'
Pines, Mrs, Judy Simmons and
Kathy Cunningham, both of
Waterloo were bridesmaids.
The maid of honour wore a
gown of pale green gingham and
the bridesmaids wore gowns of
yellow gingham.Daisies adorned
their hair and they carried
bouquets of daffodils, daisies and
baby's breath.
John Lapadat of Waterloo was
the best man and Ron Sayeau,
Brighton, Mark and Van Tuckey
Exeter ushered the guests.
The wedding reception was
held at the Pineridge Chalet
Hensall. For the honeymoon trip
to Nassau in the Bahamas the
bride wore a pale blue suit with
white accessories and carried a
red rose.
The couple will reside at RR 3,
Parkhill. Both bride and groom
have recently graduated from the
University of Waterloo.

Girls loin Male Choir
for "The Gondoliers"
her success in her new duties, at
her first district annual. Mrs,
Papple held the ratification of the
new directors.
A duet was sung by Ruth
Townshend and Grace Campbell
accompanied by Mrs. John
Henderson, Mrs. James Keys,
president, commented on the
theme and her activities over the
past year.
Mrs.Roylance Westcott
presided over the convener's
reports and the public relations
officer reported a successful year
but urged for more new mem-
bers.
Miss Jane Pengilley, Home
Economist reported on the work
of the 4-H clubs. There are 102
Gilbert .& Sullivan operettas
seem to be getting popular
Around here. Last week it was the
Public School's Mikado. And next
Week, the Huronia Singers will be
performing "The Gondoliers."
Performances will be at South
Huron High School, May 30, 31
and June 1 at 8:00 o'clock.
The Singers are under the
direction of Mrs. Marion
McCaffrey of Exeter. There will
be 40 people involved in the
production,
Special guests in the operetta
are soloist, Sue Street of Blyth
and pianist Mrs. Carol Carter
from Seaforth.
Sue, who has been taking voice
lessons from Mrs. Marilyn
.Zivkovic in Exeter will be going
into her second year at the
University of Western Ontario's
Music Conservatory.
Mrs. Carter is the organist for
the First Presbyterian Church in
Seaforth and used to play for the
Huron Centennial Choir,
The other accompanist is Mrs,
Dorothy Wildfong who's been
teaching piano to Exeter children
for 15 years, She's been the
regular accompanist for the
group.
About 40 singers are involved in
the production. Their everyday
occupations range from teachers,
to housewives and students.
The choir is usually known as
the Huronia Male Chorus con-
sisting of 33 men. But for "The
Gondoliers" women were needed
and an ad to that effect placed in
the paper, So for this production
they are the Huronia Singers.
The District Annual meeting of
the South Huron WI was held in
the Zurich Town Hall with the
Zurich WI as hostess.
Mrs, James Keys presided over
the meeting with a theme of hope
and health.
A memorial service was led by
the Grand Bend WI. After
reading scripture each Institute
presented a white carnation, in
memory of the organizers of the
District Organization.
Mrs, Sinclair of Kippen replied
to the welcome given by Mrs.
Geiger, Zurich.
Mrs. Alec Hamilton, Grand
Bend introduced Mrs. Gordon
Papple, the provincial board
member, Seaforth and wished

and candelabra was the setting of
the May 4 wedding of Lawrence
R. Brown and Jane C. Tuckey.
The bride is the daughter of Mr,
and Mrs. R. Ross Tuckey, Exeter
and the groom is the son of Mr,
and Mrs.Ross L. Brown of RR 3,
Parkhill.
Rev. Glen D. Wright officiated
the noon-hour ceremony and
Robert Cameron provided the
music.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride wore a white
'eyelet gown of polyester trimmed
with lace, The gown was ac-
cented with long full sleeves and
a three tiered skirt. The square
neckline was highlighted by a
heart-shaped gold locket, a gift

Around one hundred ladies and
girls attended a bridal shower on
Wednesday evening in the church
basement.
To the music "The Ode To
Love" played by Carolyn Kellett,
Judith Cann was escorted to a
decorated chair.
Mrs. Paul Passmore was
chairlady for the programme. A
reading "Love Me" was given by
Mrs. H. Churchill. Those taking
part in a skit "Arriving Home
from their Honeymoon", were
Carolyn Kellett, Marlene
Glanville, Mrs. Murray Dawson,
Mrs, H, Churchill, Beth
Passmore and Mrs. Paul
Passmore,
Cheryl Cann sang two numbers
accompanied by her mother,
Mrs. Ray Cann, A game, Mr.
Dress Up, was played with the
bride putting on different articles
of clothing,
Mrs. Ray Cann read the ad-
dress and Cheryl Cann, Joyce
Cunnington, Marlene Glanville
presented Judith with many
useful gifts.
After opening the gifts, Judith
thanked ail those present and
invited them to her open house
Saturday and also to her
reception at the Hensall Arena,
June 1.
Lunch was then served.
Listen Christians
Sunday May 26, Mission and
Service joint service at Elimville
the film "Listen Christian" will
be shown with a panel discussion
at 10 a.m.
The 11 a.m. worship will have
participation of midweek groups.
There will be no service at
Thames Road.

Mr. & Mrs. William Lamport,
Exeter, and Mr. & Mrs. Glen
Lamport attended the graduation
exercises at Wilfred Laurier
University on Sunday, when Don
(Chub) McCurdy received his
B.A. Mr. & Mrs. McCurdy then
took them all out to dinner at the
Waterloo Motor Inn.
Mr. & Mrs. Harold Rowe were
guests Saturday at the wedding of
their nephew, Bob Rowe.
Twenty-two people attended
the Fellowship Group at Elim-
ville Sunday evening.
Quite a number from this
community attended the C.G.I.T.
Mother and Daughter banquet at
Elimville, Tuesday evening.

girls participating. Jane is also
planning a one day workshop
on Nutrition next spring.
At lunch in the Zurich United
Church, Rev. Blackwell spoke on
the theme of Hope. Rev. Black-
well gave special thanks for the
donation to the Adult
Rehabilitation Centre.
Mrs. Carl Payne of Hensall
Institute convened a special
description on how the Pennies
for Friendship go around the
world.
Mrs. Bradnock expressed
greetings fromthe London Area,
She reported that the Area
Convention will be held at the
Central United Church, Strat-
ford, Nov. 27, 28 1974. Each
branch is asked to donate a gift to
be sent with their district
president for the craft table.
Mrs. Gerald Dearing and Mrs.
Cliff Kenney, Crediton com-
mented on their display,
Homemaking Makes the Home.
Mrs. Marion Skinner and Mrs.
Gwen Coward, accompanied by
Mrs. Marjorie Johns conducted a
sing song, and were voted to be in
charge of the music for the Area
Convention.
Mrs. Harry Dougall introduced
the skit; Planning a Year's
Program. Mrs. Wilfred Coleman,
