a new idea. In early days,

Seventy cadets and leaders will
attend.
An aircraft has been donated
by one of the Huron Park citizens,
which will be used for dropping
supplies, WatermanshiP, map
using and compass training will
be the main features of the
exercise. Due to the fact that the
equipment has not as yet arrived
they will be forced to scrounge
around for comforts,
May 19 the parents are invited
to come out and watch, and
maybe participate in Some of the
activities,' Weather permitting
the exercise should be a big
success.
Coming up shortly is summer'
camp, About all of the cadets will
be attending for at least two
weeks, Two Jones boys are
fortunate enough to be going to
Whitehorse as Representatives of
the corps.
The men's senior ball team has
been holding tryouts this week,
but the weather has put a damper
on their success so far. Many
vacancies are still available to
anyone .wishing to play.
Interested parties can contact
Tom Lessard for timings and
dates at 228-6956.
Hockey, bowling
snowmobiling, curling and
skating have left the scene for
another year making room for
baseball, soccer and swimming.
There seems to be difficulty in
the park, organizing summer
sports for the kids.
Soccer for the boys is coming
along well but can't something be
started along the line of baseball
for both boys and the girls. Surely
there are enough parents healthy
enough to spare a little time to
give the kids some organized
sports.
Joe Overholt is again visiting
the park to entertain at yet
another Minor Hockey Dance on
the 24th of May. Get your tickets
early.
