cumulation of carbon monoxide if

The Ministry of Transport now
releases quarterly reports on all
motor vehicle recalls in Canada,
reports Consumers' Association
of Canada. In 1973 a total of
586,998 vehicles were recalled
including 100,000 snowmobiles
and 40,000 motorcycles. This
figure is down considerably from
the 1972 total of 850,000 vehicles.
Consumers can obtain details of
all recall campaigns from the
Ministry's Motor Vehicle Traffic
Safety Branch, Tower "C" Place

exchanged wedding vows with
Larry David Luther, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Manford Luther, Grand
Bend at Grand Bend United
Church, April 20, 1974 with Rev.
H. G. Dobson officiating.
The church was decorated with
potted mums and Mrs. C. Ken-
. nedy provided the wedding music
and accompanied the soloist,
Mrs. Leo Janisse of London.
Wearing a gown of silk organza
with a flowing train, the bride
was escorted down the aisle by
her father. A princess crown
holding a three tiered veil
completed her bridal ensemble.
She carried an orchid on a white
Bible with white streamers.
Maid of honor was the bride's
twin sister, while the
bridesmaids were Lynda Camp,
twin sister of the groom, and
JoAnne Grenier, another sister of
the bride. Lisa Jeffery was junior
bridesmaid.
The maid of honor wore a
mauve gown and bridesmaids
chose blue dresses. The junior
bridesmaid was dressed in white.
All carried white pardsols with
mauve daisies.
Standing up with the groom
was Ray Desjardine, and the
junior groomsman was Robert
McGregor. The guests were
ushered by Lorne Luther and
Richard Rader.
After the reception at the Dash-
wood Community Centre the
newlyweds motored to Niagara
Falls, the bride wearing a red
and beige pantsuit with red
leather coat and black ac-
cessories.
The young couple will reside
on the groom's farm in the Grand
Bend area. The bride is employed
at Tilotson's Plastics, Dashwood.
Prior to the wedding, several
showers and parties were held in
the couple's honor. Those
hosting the events were Cathy
and JoAnne Grenier and Rose
Rader at the Dashwood Com-
munity Centre; Gladys
McGregor, Kippen, Mrs. Don
Hulber and Mrs. Doris Hicks,
Blyth; Mrs. Norman Camp of
London and fellow workers of the
bride's at Tilotson's Plastics.

the setting for the wedding of
Cheryl Marie Riley to James
Gordon Smith, April 6, 1974 with
Rev. John Beaton performing the
ceremony.
Mr. and Mrs. William Riley of
Huron Park are the parents of the
bride and the groom's parents
are Mr. and Mrs. Harold Smith
also of Huron Park. The organist
for the occasion was Mrs.
Clarence Hardy of Lucan.
Given in marriage by her
father the bride was dressed in a
full length gown of crystal-peau
acetate with Swiss lace accents,
stand up collar, and a centre
front forming a bib effect. The
long sleeves gathered together
• into tapered cuffs. She wore a
mantilla of tulle net edged with
lace. Her flowers were red roses
and baby mums.
The matron of honor was Mrs.
Larry Hockey of Huron Park,
sister of the bride. The
bridesmaids were Sharon Smith,
sister of the groom, and Carolyn
Riley, sister of the bride. They
were gowned alike with full
length gowns of peacock blue.
Their dresses had round
necklines, empire waists and
long sleeves with tapered cuffs.
They carried white mums tinted
with blue.
Flower girl and ring bearer
• were Noreen Riley, niece of the
bride and David Smith, brother of
• the groom. Nancy wore a white
elyet gown and carried a basket
of mixed flowers.
Russel Smith, Huron Park,
brother of the groom was best
man. Robert Riley brother of the
bride and Tony Martens ushered
the guests.
Guests were present from
London, Staff a, Exeter,
Egmondville, Sarnia, Windsor
and Huron Park. The reception
was held at Crediton Hall. A
Missionary at
Kingdom Hall
A missionary from Africa will
be the guest speaker at the
Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall
in Exeter this Sunday.
Paul Byron, formerly of
Burlington, will report on his past
four years in Africa at the 9:30
a.m. service.
First meeting
of tourist group
The first executive meeting of
the recently formed Huron
County Tourist Association was
held Monday at Hully Gully.
The meeting 1,vas to discuss and
propose the objectives, con-
stitution and bylaws of the
association. Recommendations
in this regard will be presented to
the general membership on May
7 at 8:00 p.m, at Hully Gully.
The executive have extended
an invitation to all community
minded business people to attend.
