Final plans were made for a pot luck supper to be held at Village Inn Retreat where all the Easter shower gifts will be on display for Children's Aid of Sarnia. Mrs. Susie Devine closed the meeting with an Easter Glory Prayer, Lunch hostesses were Mrs. C. Kennedy, Mrs. W. F. B. McLaren and Mrs. Alwyn Dayman. A.C.W. The A.C.W. of St. Johns-by-the- Lake held their meeting Tuesday evening and plans were made for a dessert euchre later this month. A Vestry meeting followed when plans were made for the church's 25th anniversary in July 4-H The Grand Bend 4-H girls met The Senior Citizens held their April meeting at the Village Inn Retreat with 34 in attendance. Program consisted of several violin duets by Ross and William Love accompanied on the piano by Mrs. Ross Love. Many members joined in singing. Some of them, returning by car, witnessed the destruction of the tornadoes in U.S. Mr. & Mrs. Colin Love, Mr. & Mrs, Gerry Love, Paul, Heather and Brent, Mr. & Mrs. Glenn Love and Dick of Sarnia visited Sunday with Mr. & Mrs. Morley Love and Jennifer in Chatham for a pre-Easter dinner. Mr, Emery Mason, Naicam, Sask., formerly of the Grand Bend and Exeter area recently celebrated his 80th birthday. He and his wife also held their 54th wedding anniversary, March 10. People who value their privileges above their principles soon lose both. Thursday evening at the town hall with five girls and their leader, Mrs. I. Ford, and assistant leader, Mrs. Wm, Brenner, in attendance. Plans were discussed for Achievement Day. Mr. & Mrs. Irvin Ford, Debra, Karen and Randy returned last Tuesday from a holiday in Newport Ricky, Florida, They flew down then returned by car with Mrs. Ford's parents, Mr. & Mrs. William Bell of Kippen, who had spent the winter there.
