Bill Morley attended the semi-
annual meeting of the Egg and
Fowl Marketing Board Tuesday
and Wednesday in Toronto,
Mr. & Mrs. Jack .Kirkham,
Mitchell, were Sunday visitors
with Mr. & Mrs. Cleve Pullman,
Mr. & Mrs. John Scott were
Saturday night visitors with Mr.
& Mrs. Allen Hodgins.
Mr. & Mrs. Gordon Johnson
were Sunday dinner guests with
Mr. & Mrs, Jim Betteridge, St.
Marys.
Wednesday evening Mr, & Mrs.
Gordon Johnson visited with Mr,
& Mrs. Bill Ashton, London.

Many relatives and friends
attended the funeral of the late
Mrs. Josephine Regan. Tuesday
held at Holy Rosary Church
London. She was former
Josephine Glavin born near
Centralia and burial took place at
Our Lady of Mt. Carmel
Cemetery. She had been a
resident of Marian Villa for past
seven years.

A daughter, Laurie Pauline,
was born to Dr. & Mrs.RossWein,
Fredericton, N.B. Laurie is a
granddaughter of Mr. & Mrs.
Emerson Wein,
Rev. Herman Hagelstein of
London died suddenly in Victoria
Hospital Friday. Mr. & Mrs. Ray
Morlock, Mrs. Jack Galloway
and Bob Galloway attended the
funeral in Plattsville, Sunday.
Rev. Hagelstein once pastored
Crediton United Church.

and Mark, attended the wedding
Saturday of their niece and
cousin Susan Murray to Robert
Charlet, both of Toronto, at
Harrow United Church and the
reception at Hillside Restaurant
at Ruthven. Clark Adams spent
the weekend with his grand-
parents Mr. & Mrs. Les Adams.
Sunday dinner guests with Mr.
& Mrs, Harold Vincent, Lori,
Michael and Michelle were Mrs.
Katie Vincent of Grand Bend, and
Mr. & Mrs. Hubert Vincent, Judy
and Elaine, when they celebrated
Lori's sixth birthday.
Mr. & Mrs. Les Locke of
Trenton visited Tuesday evening
with Mr. & Mrs. Ken Baker and
family.
We welcome new neighbours to
our community, Mr. & Mrs. Sid
Durie who purchased the house
and a small aereage which
belonged to the late Mr. & Mrs.
Ed Lamport, and moved in last
Friday. They were formerly of
London and their family consists
of two daughters and two sons:
Dennis and Pamela of London,
Mrs. Kenneth Chambers,a nurse,
of St. Catharines, and five year
old Glenn at home.

with Lenten Thoughts. Scripture

Hodgert, and Mrs. Lorne

Wednesday evening in the
Sunday School rooms of Zion
United Church the Clarke family
and the community held a joint
shower in honour of Bonnie
Clarke, April bride-elect.
Mrs. Howard Clarke read the
address and conducted a game
and a contest, Margaret Haist,
Mrs. Bev Hirtzel, Brenda Har-
burn and Marlene Clarke
assisted Bonnie in opening the
gifts.
Devotions at Huronview
A group of women went to
Huronview Tuesday afternoon to
help Mrs. Ed Finkbeiner conduct
the weekly devotional hour for
the residents.
Mrs. Alvin Finkbeiner told the
story of a conversion, Mrs.
Douglas Warren ' used a flan-
nelgraph to illustrate symbols of
Easter and Ella Morlock spoke of
the glories of heaven. Mrs, Fink-
beiner and Mrs. Walter

United church Rev. H.W.
Hagelstein passed away in
Victoria Hospital last Friday.
Mr. & Mrs. Roy Mawson,
Parkhill, visited Thursday
evening with Gordon and
Kathleen Morley.
Rev. Westhaver and the session
met Monday evening at the home
of Mr. &, Mrs. Douglas Lewis.
Two baskets of flowers in the
front of church Sunday were in
Memory of the late Mrs. Rose
Maguire who died recently.
Mrs. Della. Hamilton, Exeter,
and Mrs. Earl Dixon, Centralia,
visited Kathleen Morley Friday
afternoon.

Cares About You' by Mrs. Ker-
nick and also a clipping from
Mary Hastings column.
Mrs. Kernick closed the
worship service. Mrs. Lorne
Ballantyne received the offering.
Mrs. Lee Webber, president,
took charge of the business.
Mrs. Edwin Miller spoke a few
words stating that Mr. & Mrs.
George Kellett will be the new
custodians of the church. Mrs.
Webber also informed the group
they would have six weddings to
cater to during the rest of the
year.
It- was also stated that the
Sunday School had donated $250
towards the painting of the
basement, kitchen etc. Mrs.
Edna Kleinfelt and Miss Jean
Coward, Exeter have been
painting it for the past while.

Mrs. Minnie Elford is a patient
in St. Joseph's Hospital London.

during the church service and
were welcomed by the steward
secretary Glenn Rohde, and by
Rev. Barry Robinson,
David Ballantyne is staying
with his grandparents Mr. & Mrs.
