Pentecostal ladies
pray for the sick
The monthly meeting of the
Exeter Pentecostal W.M,C. was
held at the home of Mrs. Cora
Eggert. The Pres. Mrs, K.
McLaren opened the meeting
with the singing of hymns, after
which Mrs. H. Kendrick offered a
prayer.
Roll call was answered by 22
ladies with the scripture verse,
'Wait'.
A missionary reading was
given by Mrs. M. Eisinga and
Cora Eggert read some poems.
Mrs. B. Colbourne gave the
message. Prayers were said in
behalf of the sick.
Lunch was served by Mrs.
Estrella Finkbeiner, Mrs, Cora
Eggert and Mrs. Lily Kleinfeldt,
Wooden.
Carol Reid reported on the
success and joy the chapter has
brought to an area family which
has been the members' project
for the year.
Louise Giffin and Marilyn
Wilson presented the program by
a quizz on members' knowledge
.of Beta Sigma Phi.
Members voted for Girl of the
Year who will be crowned at the
up-coming Founder's Day
banquet,
Leona Amos and June Essery
assisted the hostess with lunch.
Alpha Pi Chapter
Marian McCarter was hostess
for the meeting of Alpha Pi
chapter of Beta Sigma Phi
Tuesday evening.
Sue Smith and Dorothy Baldson
presented the' program on 'The
Good'.
After the program the 'mem-
bers played court whist with
prizes going to Mary Ellison,
Maryann Topp and Jo Anne
Dinney.
The ways and means com-
mittee added to the treasury by
conducting a rummage sale of
odds and ends.

at the Hay township hall, Zurich
March 30, when more than 80
friends and relatives registered
in a guest book presided over by
Sharon and Ray Jacobe. Mr. &
Mrs. Urban Pfile were en-
tertaining on their 50th wedding
anniversary.

Games were played during the
early part of the evening. This
was followed by a variety
program chaired by Reg.
Hodgson. It consisted of guitar
and vocal solos by Maurice Love;
a Mock Wedding; a quartette
'We'll Have to Mortgage the
Farm'; addresses by Vic Dinnin,
Milt Oesch and Oscar Greb, the
best man of 50 years ago.
Mr. & Mrs. Pfile were the
recipients of many gifts and
cards including congratulatory
messages from the Governor
General and Madame Leger,
Federal and Provincial govern-
ments and the local members of
parliament Robert McKinley and
Jack Riddell.

Seniors at dinner
, About 100 Senior Citizens were
guest of the Legion Ladies
Auxiliary to a hot beef dinner
Tuesday evening.
Following the dinner a
program of chorues, 'sextettes,
duets, and violin and guitar
selections, was presented for
their enjoyment. Those taking
part were Mrs. Peter Martin,
Mrs. Don Adams, Mrs. Ross
Love, Stuart Wolfe, Mervin
Tieman, Stan Haist, Harry
Hoffman and Ross Love.
There was also tap-dancing by
Sharon, Terry, Theresa and Lisa
