On February 20, 1974 the 4-H
girls from Crediton served a
casserole dinner for their
mothers and the Womens
Institute.
After dinner the 4-H girls put on
a program including skits,
demonstrations and speeches
from the previous club "A World
of Food in Canada".
. Our Home Economist Jane
Pengilley then explained to
everyone about 4-H and what it
was all about.
The Women's Institute then
presented cups and saucers to the
girls who completed their
provincial honours, Mrs, June
Glavin, Joanne Muller, • Susan
and Janice Davey.
Anne Muller, Debbie Fink-
beiner, Cathy Bowers, Francis
Blyde, Elaine Pfaff, Jane Glavin,
Monica Glavin, Janet Gielen,
Mary Van Ocesh and Patti Tasco
received a cup and saucer for
completing their county honours.
Mrs. Maxine Hyde was
presented with a gift for com-
pleting 23 4-H clubs.
The Womens Institute then
carried on with their regular
meeting.
The Klondike 4-H group had
their 3rd meeting Tuesday night
at the home of Mrs. John Kelders.
Roll call was "Good Grooming
Habits". Plans were made to
have Julie Dalton demonstrate
putting on make-up at a future
meeting.
Mrs. Max Turnbull visited
Wednesday with her grandson
Mr. & Mrs. Dennis Lamport and
family and also with her
daughter Mr. & Mrs. Lloyd
Lamport.
Mrs. Nola Taylor and Brenda
visited Sunday with her daughter
Mr. & Mrs. Wayne Woods and
family at Corbett.
Mr. & Mrs. Spence Meecham
returned on the weekend from a
two week holiday in Hawaii.
Morley Love and Jennifer of
Chatham spent a couple days last
week visiting his parents, also his
brother, Mr. & Mrs. Gerry Love
and family.
Mr, & Mrs. Colin Love visited
Sunday at the Blue Water Rest
home with Mr. & Mrs. Elmer
Lawson.
Mr. & Mrs. Glen Miller
returned Sunday from a holiday
in Florida.

items included plans to do a quilt
in the near future and also plans
for a dessert euchre and penny
sale in March.
Mrs. Eva Bariteau volunteered
to serve as W.I. representative to
Exeter hospital. Nominating
committee appointed were Mrs.
Eva Allister, Mrs, Eva Bariteau
and Mrs. E. DesJardins,
Two contests were held in the
social hour, Winners were Mrs.
Nola Taylor and Mrs. Valerie
Burke, Booby prizes went to
Mrs, Helen McDonald & Mrs.
Fern Love.
Lunch hostesses were Mrs.
Emery DesJardins, Mrs. Alec
Hamilton and Mrs. Hugh Morenz.

Manager, and stand-in is Elaine
Baechler.
Because of a car accident,
Mary Ann Fejkl has been off
school for the past few days, but
will probably be back by Friday,
The festival has involved many

Goderich High School will
present "Them", Clinton "Sorry,
Wrong Number" and Seaforth
will do "Ways and Means" by
Noel Coward.
The plays will be judged by

The festival will begin at 8:00
p.m. on Friday in the old gym at
SHDHS.
The school receiving the best
play award at the festival will be
invited to participate in one of the
regional competitions of Simp-
sons-Sears Ontario Collegiate
Drama Festival, to be held in
Sarnia on Thursday, April 18.
Here they will compete with
winners of the Sarnia District
festival and the Elgin County
District festival.
There are 24 district festivals
taking place this year in Ontario.
District winners will participate
in seven regional festivals, and
the regional winners, along with
the two top plays from the
Toronto region, will be invited to
the all-Ontario Finals at the St.
Lawrence Centre, Toronto, on
May 2, 3, and 4,

Homemaking club was held at
the home of the assistant leader
Mrs. Spencer Jeffery, Sat. Feb.
16 at 9.30 a.m.
Roll call was "make arid serve
a supper dish using one of the
pastas". It was answered by 14
girls.
The leaders conducted a quiz
on cereals and discussed with the
girls, "cereals around the clock"
and "kinds of Pastas",
Joanne Ross, Mary Jane and
Elizabeth Templeman made
tomato-meat sauce. Joanne
Jordan and Karen Miller made
baked lasagna.
Jane Ross and Nancy Tem-
pleman made basic muffins.
These, were all sampled by the
girls at the close of the meeting.
