4 H girls learn about cereals

Gail Harburn was elected to
replace Pam Wallace as
secretary-treasurer at the third
meeting of the Staffa Munchldns
on Wednesday evening.
The meeting was opened by
Betty Anne Miller with the 4-H
Pledge followed by the
secretary's report and roll call. A
recipe which uses a ready-to-eat
cereal. Several members
presented samples of any break-
fast cereals in their homes.
The girls were asked to identify
samples of various cereal grains.
Mrs. J. Wallace read A Catalogue
of Cereals. Lorraine Laing and
Julie Ann Elliott prepared
Cherry-Bran Squares after which
Betty Anne Miller, Cheryl Riley
and Margaret Laing made
muffins. They were sampled by
the girls along with Bits & bites
Nuts & Bolts and lemonade.

February meeting which was
held at the home of Mrs. Calder
McKaig. These will be taken to a
nursing home and a school for
retarded adtfts.
Mrs. John Templeman
presided and opened the meeting
with hymn 412. followed by
prayer. Mrs. Ivan Norris read the
scripture from Psalm 62.
Mrs. Robert Laing gave the

A playlet. A Changed Attitude,
was read by several members. It.
dealt with the type of mission
work and help that would be
welcomed in Iturbia.
In her topic, Mrs. John Miller
traced the steps in the printing of
the new Tayal Testament. Mrs.
Lorne Elliott conducted a Bible
quiz The meeting closed with a
hymn and the Lord's Prayer.
