Lucan church news
Pentecostal
Dr. D. Barton was the guest
speaker at both services in the
Pentecostal Holiness Church
Sunday. In the morning he spoke
from Hebrews explaining the
teachings of Moses as compared
with the teachings of Jesus.
Moses taught strict adherence to
the Jewish law, but Jesus taught
the law of love and tried to teach
the Jewish people to follow his
teaching rather than that of
Moses,
Music was provided by Miss
Marlene Butler and by Mr. &
Mrs, Collier of Toronto. Rick
Thornton led the singing.
In the evening, Dr. Barton
spoke from Hosea, pointing out
how Hosea learned from an
unfaithful wife the feelings God
has for us when we fail to remain
true to Him. He said Hosea
buying back his wife represented
God's love for us in forgiving and
taking us back if we wish to
come.

there is a spirit of God within it
will go out in love to others.
