Mrs. Jack Gaiser gave A poem
prayer, prayer of Penitence and
Mrs. Ken McCrae and Mrs, Jack
Gaiser sang a duet, Just Keep on
Praying.
Annual reports of all com-
mittees were read and accepted.
Twenty-six people attended the
Meeting, The Sunshine com-
mittee is Mrs, Ralph Weber and
Mrs. Cora Gaiser.
Rev. Bruce Gig introduced
Rev. Glen Wright and Rev. Cecil
Widdick who had 'a program on
evangelism in which • everyone
participated and shared, Mr. &
Mrs. Peter Snell sang four

overnight hydro interruption due
to the sleet storm. Although
many of our trees are deformed
by the storm and Sunday supper
was a cold affair, Dashwood was
very fortunate that the hydro
breaks weren't longer.
The Ratepayers meeting of
Dashwood will be held January
29, 8;00 p.m. at the Community
Centre.

The annual meeting of Clan-
deboye United Church board was
held Tuesday in the basement of
the church with 13 present. The
election of Officers were as
follows;
Retiring elders, Clarence
Millson and Wilmer Scott were
re-elected for a further three-
year term with Jim Scott for
alternate as necessary.
"Retiring stewards, Harry
Hardy, Ralph Lynn, Clarence
Millson and Alex Macintosh were
also re-elected for a two-year
term.
Board of trustees, re-elected
for further term, were Wilmer
Scott, Ralph Lynn, Dave Kestle,
George Simpson.
Church manse committee,
Ralph Lynn, Dave Kestle, Betty
Coughlin and Myrtle Macintosh.
Gary Donaldson has replaced
Harry Hardy as treasurer.
Starting February 3, 'church
will start at 10;00 a.m.
Mexico this week leaving behind
Tom, Nancy and Graham in 90'
degree sunny weather. Tom-,

Cris Beaton was the leader for
the worship service at the CGIT
meeting Tuesday evening. The
purpose was repeated followed
by the CGIT hymn.
Instead of games and songs
there was a craft period and the
girls worked bn articles to sell at
their bazaar in February.
Skating Party
Eighteen boys and girls of the
Messenger group enjoyed a
skating party .at the Huron Park
arena Saturday afternoon and
returned to the United Church
schoolroom for refreshments.

for an afternoon of crokinole and
cards,
Mr. & Mrs. Lloyd Morgan
attended the funeral in
Ridgetown Wednesday of their
former neighbour of many years,
the late Mr. Albert Schute. On
Thursday they visited in Port
Elgin with Mr. & Mrs. Wm,
Williams. Mr. Williams is
recuperating after a serious eye
operation: • They 'returned honk
on Friday.
Mrs. Russell Schroeder visited
for a few days last week at the
home of her son, Mr. & Mrs. Jack
Schroeder and family in London.
Murray Abbott has returned .
home after visiting for a month
with his son and daughter-in-law,
Mr. & Mrs. Clayton Abbott in
Linwood California. While there,
he accompanied his daughter -in-
law on a trip to Mexico,
Mr. & Mrs. Wm. Elliott
returned home Saturday
following a Caribbean cruise,
stopping at Haiti; San Juan,
Puerto Rico; St. Thomas in the
Virgin Islands and Nassau in
the Bahamas.
