Cromarty W.M.S. was held at the
home of Mrs. Grace Scott with
Mrs. T.L. Scott presiding, She
opened with a poem, The
Measure of Life.
Mrs. John Jefferson read the
message of the president from
the January Glad Tidings, The
scripture lesson was read in
unison,
A Small Reflection On A New
Year was read by Mrs. G, Scott.
The offering was received by
Mrs. C, McKaig and dedicated by
Mrs. James Miller. Mrs, Lamond
gave a prayer.
Following the secretary's and
treasurer's reports, eight
members and one visitor an-
swered the roll call with a New
Year's resolution. A drama, A
Changed Attitude, was given by
the members of the society and
discussion, led by Mrs. Thos. L,
Scott, followed.

Staffa Women's Institute
members held their Christmas
meeting at the community hall,
recently with the president Mrs.
John Miller presiding. There
were 19 members and 4 visitors
present.
Mrs. Miller introduced Mrs.
Harry Reynen, who gave an in-
teresting talk on Christmas and
New Years, customs of Holland,
and how they differ from
Canadian customs.
