Members of the Lovie hunting
camp from Manitoulin Island
held a dinner Saturday evening at
Shipka Community centre with
their wives and families,
Chris Baumgarten, Bothwell
visited Monday with Mr. and
Mrs. Wray Sweitzer and other
friends in this area.
Over 60 family members of
Mrs. Angeline Scott held a pre
Christmas dinner at Shipka
Community Centre.
Mr. and Mrs. Les Adams, Mr.
and Mrs. Don Adams, Brock,
Mark and Clark, attended a pre
Christmas dinner in Crediton
Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Peter
Martin and girls,

The Christmas UCW meeting
was held at the home of Mrs.
Marion Pickering, Ailsa Craig.
Mrs. Jack Trevithick opened the
meeting with a call to worship
followed by all singing hymn
"Silent Night". Mrs. Trevithiek
gave a reading on "Christmas
Burro", Mrs. William Fenton
read the scripture. Mrs.
Trevithick gave another reading
"We are the Light". and a poem
followed by prayer. Mrs. Harvey
Steeper read a poem "Tis.
Christmas". Closing hymn
"Away in a Manger". Mrs.
George Lee took charge of the.
business, Roll call was answered
by 15 members. It was decided to
remember the shut-ins at
Christmas.

A euchre party was held at
Brinsley' Community Centre
Friday evening, Mr. and Mrs.
Jack Trevithick and Mr. and
Mrs. Joe Carter took charge of
the evening. The winners were:
ladies high, Jean Miller; lone
hands, Mrs. Evan Hodgins; low,
Marjorie Steeper; men's high,
Otto Darling; lone hands, Don
Allen; low, Wilbert Lewis.
The next party will be held
December 28.

Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Russell
visited their son Bruce at
Niagara College Friday night and
attended a dinner and dance. On
their return trip they visited with
Mrs. Russell's brothers and
parents in St. Catharines.

and Donna, Mr. and Mrs. Don
Baker, visited in Stratford
Friday evening with Mr. and
Mrs. Ken Baker Jr, and family.
