the English Department at the
Goderich District Collegiate, and
head of the dramatic arts
program, gave his views of the
dramatic arts and portrayed the
course in an interesing way.
Speaking of drama in con-
junction with teaching methods
he said, "It is a hand-in-glove
affair." He said drama in
education is a tool to promote
interest and can be used to teach
every subject from english to
science to mathematics.
Participation in drama to a
student not achieving his full
potential or to a slow learner can
be like "dealing the kids a
winning hand, it gives them a
feeling of confidence", he said.

The Village of Zurich will have
a Senior Citizens Housing
development ready for oc-
cupancy sometime next year, the
council of the municipality were
advised at a recent meeting.
Aceording to information
provided the Ontario Housing
Authority had made an offer for a
piece of property in the village
some weeks ago, and the owner of
the property has accepted their
offer.
Under the Ontario Housing
Authority, units in the housing
development will be made
available to senior citizens in the
municipality at a very nominal
rental rate.
The "geared to income"
rental units will consist of a
bedroom, bathroom, living room
and kitchen. All utilities will be
paid for, and refrigirators and
stoves will be provided. As well,
telephones will be installed
throughout and television aerials
will be available,
All units built under the
Authority have central laundry
facilities in the basement, for the
use of all tenants.
The initial plans call for the
construction of 10 units, although
the Authority indicated if there
was a greater demand for ac-
commodation now than when they
conducted their survey over a'
year ago, more units would be
built.
Any senior citizens in the
village interested in such ac-
commodations should contact
either the clerk of the village, or
any member of the council, for
further information. Friday & Saturday, Dec. 21 & 22

But time has only .proven
How much we miss you yet.
We often sit and wonder
What you would say and do,
If you only knew the changes
Since God parted us from you.
To sonic you may be forgotten
To others a part of the past
But to us who loved and lost you
Your memory will always last.

OVERHOLT — In loving memory of
a dear son and brother David, who
passed away one year ago, December
26, 1972.
God looked around his garden
And found an empty space
He then looked upon this earth
And saw your lonely face.
He put his arms around you
And lifted you to rest.
God's garden must be beautiful
He only takes the best
He knew that you were suffering
And He knew you were in pain
He knew that you would never
Get well upon this earth again.
He saw the road was getting rough
And the hills were hard to climb
So He closed your weary eyelids
And whispered peace be thine,
It broke our hearts to lose you
But you did not go alone
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home.
Sadly missed and always
remembered by Dad, Mom, Danny,
Michael and Kenny, 51p
PARSONS — In loving memory of a
dear mother and grandmother, Jean
Parsons, who left us so suddenly, one
year ago, Christmas Day 1972.
The dearest Mother this world could
hold
With a cherished smile and a heart of
gold
To those, Who *knew,her, all aknow..;
How much we lbst, one year ago.
What I would give if I could say
Hello Mom, in the same old way
To hear you laugh and see you smile
To sit with you and talk awhile.
So you, that have a mother
Cherish her with care
For you'll never know the heartache
Until you see her empty chair.
Too dearly loved to ever be
forgotten. Always remembered and
sadly missed by daughter Lynda and

the Christian religion. We must
draw together spiritually and
renew our faith."
Christmas Sunday, at 9 a.m. .
Holy Communion will be ob-
served; morning praise will be at
11 a.m. and an evening service at
7:30 p.m. There will be special
music by both the senior and
junior choirs,

United
At the United Church, Rev.
Ewart Madden took as his Advent
theme, " . . to Preach
Deliverance to the Captives". He
stated that the word 'captive' in
the context, refers to those who,
either through their doing or that
of others, have become in a state
of bondage to sin. Even one's
religion can be a part •of this
captivity. He said Christ came to
free us from false, joyless
religion, by the gift of His Holy
Spirit.
