Conestoga classes
break all records
The continuing: education
activity across Conestoga.
College's seven centres has
broken all records in the numbers
of courses offered and the student
enrolment recorded.
The increase in activity is
based on students on course using
a base date of October 31 for the
preceding years.
Trends are shown as:
October 31, 1971, 1,977 students;
October 31, 1972, 3,472; October
31, 1973, 5,350.
Future expansion in continuing
education outreach will only be
limited by the lack of suitable
space for rent in order to mount
new courses and programs.
To date the College has rented
facilities right across the four
counties of Huron, Perth,
Wellington and Waterloo. These
facilities range from Church
Halls to Golf Club Houses and
even in one case a garage.
L. Rechsteiner, director of
programs, Conestoga College,
attributes the overwhelming
success of the part-time courses
to improved planning,
development and promotion, and
last but not least giving the
public the kind of educational
experiences they identify and
desire, SANTA GOES TO COLI.EQE — The highlight of the annual Christmas party for staff members of Centralia
College of Agricultaal Technology Sunday was the visit of Santa Claus. He is shown in the above picture
with Brenda Bolscion, Patty O'Toole and Heather Jamieson: T-A photo
