Pen elect The annual Christmas meeting of the Pentecostal Women was held at the home of pastor and Mrs. Austin Gedcke. The president Mrs. Keith McClaren opened the meeting with the singing of carols and Mrs. Harold Kendrick led in prayer. Piano solos were by Ann Stewart and Daryl Shobbrock and Wayne Lyon played an accordion duet; Debbie and Janice Rose sang a vocal duet. An annual event that is looked forward to with a great deal of interest, The Christmas Fair, was held Monday afternoon and arranged by the Women's Auxiliary. During the day the residents have an opportunity to do some shopping for gifts which have been donated by various groups within the county. Tea and cookies were served by the Auxiliary in the craft room during the afternoon, The December birthday party was sponsored by the Londesboro Women's Institute with 20 celebrants receiving gifts and congratulations following the program. Mrs. Eric Anderson was M.C. for the afternoon and introduced the entertainers. A trip across Canada by coloured slides given by Miss Edith Beacon who also gave a very interesting commentary. Miss Mary Turner, who had the honour of being the eldest celebrant this month thanked the ladies on behalf of the residents. Jim Laurie arranged and in- troduced the variety program for Family Night. The program consisted of dances, songs and instrumentals. Mrs. Mary Taylor, a native of Blyth ex- pressed the appreciation of the residents for 'a fine hour of en- tertainment. Sorority hold skating party The Ki Gamma Nu chapter of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority held their Christmas dinner party at the home of Dianne Wooden, Saturday, December 1. Members and their husbands enjoyed a few hours of skating and returned to the Wooden home for dancing and exchanging of Christmas gifts. They carried nosegay bouquets of tinted pink mums with navy velvet ribbons, trimmed with feathered mums. The flower girls was Tracy A dinner and dance was held in Moorefield Community Centre with Gordon Lovie as Master of Ceremonies. Following a motor trip to Florida the couple will reside at R11 2 Dashwood. Showers were held for the bride at the homes of Mr. Kevin Stevens, London; Mrs. Jack Scholten, Moorefield; Mrs, Wayne Hughes, London; Mrs, Gordon Lovie, London, and Margaret Heling, Moorefield..
