a good note blasting Tavistock 16-
5 here on Wednesday night. As in
the last couple of games, Mike
McIntyre was the main reason
for the Irish triumph as he scored
five goals to lead Lucan,
With the Irish holding a 7-5 lead
heading into the third period, the
home team exploded for 9
unanswered goals to walk away
with the victory.
Jeff Park, Ron Funston, Brad
England, Brian McNeil added
two goals with singles going to
Mike and Marty Wraith and Ed
Robb. Gary Herr and Garry
Isaac each picked upfour assists,
Lucan travelled to Clinton
Friday night and its too bad
Lucan couldn't have taken a few
goals from Wednesday's game
with them as they were defeated
7-5 by the Mustangs. Lucan goals
came off the sticks of Harry
Dickson, Ron Funston, Jeff Park,
Gary Herr and Mike Wraith.
In Sunday's game it was the
same story, not enough goals, as
the Lucan club dropped a 7-4
decision to the Mitchell Hawks.
Lucan was never ahead in the
game and just couldn't get
untracked. Mike McIntyre, Brian
McNeil , Mike Wraith and Ran
Funston scored the Lucan goals.

House League
The Lion's Club sponsored
house league hockey has
outgrown its usual four hour slot
each Saturday morning and has
reserved another hour to ac-
commodate all the youngsters
and youth who have registered.
This bodes well for the future of
hockey in this Irish village.

goalies Mark Grove and Tim
Culbert who turned in a fine
performances.
Lucan pee wees hosted Dor-
chester Friday and went into the
third period holding a i-0 lead on
a goal by Paul Snoyes. However,
with seven minutes remaining in
the game, the roof caved in on
Lucan, as Dorchester scored
three times to come up with the
win.
Bantam action saw Lucan
defeat Dorchester 3-1 but the
score should read Ken Holland 3,
Dorchester I. Ken scored all
Lucan goals to lead the locals
with Rick Freeman and Martin
Clarke each getting an assist.
In midget play Lucan built up a
4-0 lead going into the third
period and then had to hold off a
late Dorchester rally to post a 4-
3 win. Lucan goal scorers were
Pat Holland, Cord Moon, Randy
Kraut and Marty Wraith.
The Lucan juveniles dropped
two games over the weekend
losing 6-2 to Forest in Lucan and
7-2 to Parkhill,
In Saturday's game, Lucan was
never in the lead against Forest
and never really threatened the
visiting club. Gerald Spruyt
scored the first Lucan goal and
Randy Mann deflected a Dave
Smith shot from the blue line for
the other.
One of the main reasons for the
loss to Parkhill on Sunday was
the lack of shots on goal against
Parkhill. Lucan managed only a
few shots with two of those going
in. Brian Noyes and Gerald.
Spruyt scored the Irish goals.
The Lucan Irish started off a
busy week in OHA Jr. 'D' play on
Regular session
for Kinette club
The November meeting of the
Exeter Kinette Club was held at
the home of Vice-president,
Linda Sanders.
President Wanda Reynolds
opened the meeting with the
Kinette Song and grace. A pot
luck supper was enjoyed by all.
The District Convener Ann
Gammage and District Bulletin
Editor Marlene Warwick were
guests of honour from Blenheim.
There were eight Kinettes
present and convener Ann
Gammage presented Elsie Willis
with her Kinette pin. Kin wife
ThelmaFinkbeiner was also a
guest at the meeting.
The business portion of the
meeting included a letter from
District requesting the club's
assistance as Blood Donors.
A request was received from
the local branch of the heart fund
for assistance as canvassers.
The Kinettes are having tickets
prepared for their Christmas Doll
draw (Sweet Cookie).

Parents and school trustees
will be given free access to
schools under the new Con-
solidated Education Act which
was given first reading in the
Legislature last week.
Under the new Act, parents and
school trustees are designated as
school visitors and will be able to
visit a school at any time. The
designation was previously
limited to clergymen and
members of the Legislature.
A parent will be able to visit a
school at which their child is
enrolled. School trustees may
freely visit any school within the
board he represents.
In presenting the new Act,
Education Minister Thomas
Wells said that the consolidation
is more a refinement; of the five
acts; The Ministry of Education
Act, The Schools Administration
Act, The Public Schools Act, the
Separate Schools Act and the
Secondary School and Boards of
Education Act rather than
an introduction of major policy
changes.
The consolidation, he said, has
removed duplication, am-
biguities and obsolete references,
making the document much less
complex and therefore much
easier to use.
Mr. Wells said that the Con-
stitutional position and special
identity of the Roman Catholic
Separate Schools has been
retained in the consolidation. The
Act requires that to be eligible for
election as a separate school
trustee a person must be a
resident of the board for which he
is running and be a separate
school elector.
Mr. Wells said that between
now and the next session of the
Legislature the Ministry will
welcome comments and
suggestions about the new act,
They will be given consideration
before the Bill is reintroduced at
the next sitting of the
Legislature, Mr. Wells said that
the act will also be given
thorough study by the
Legislature's Standing Com-
mittee on Social Development.
Snowmobiles
bring gripes
Snow brings snowmobile
complaints.
That's becoming a fact of
winter life and this week was no
exception.
Exeter OPP received three
snowmobile complaints early
Tuesday evening, two from
Huron Park and one from
Crediton.
The latter involved persons
driving across private property,
while the Huron Park complaints
were aired over noise. Students
at the Centralia College of
Agricultural Technology advised
police they couldn't study
because of the noise being
created by snowmobiles.
