Classes began last week on a
home ,economics course "more
ideas for sewing knits" sponsored
by the Staffa worrier's institute.
Mrs. Charles Douglas and Mrs.
John Wallace are the instructors
and 20 ladies have registered for
the course. Classes are held
Monday afternoons at the
township hall,
A large crowd attended the
reception for Mr. & Mrs. Ron
Miller held in Staffa hail on
Friday evening. The address was
read by Craig Kerslake and a
presentation of a gift of money
was made by Brian Dow.
Richard Templeman spent the
weekend with Ross Bowman,
Fullarton.
Ricky Thompson, Kinburn is
staying with his grandparents,Mr.
& Mrs. Carter Kerslake while his
mother is a patient in. University
Hospital, London,
Visiting with Mr. & Mrs. Clifton
Miller and Paul on Sunday were
Mr, & Mrs, Will Sillery, Exeter,
and Bonnie Miller, Toronto.

George, left Thursday for
Toronto where they attended the
Royal Winter Fair, On Friday
George had the honor of showing
his Angus-Charolais 4-H calf in
the Queen's Guineas class, and
celebrate were their attendants
of 45 years ago, Mr. & Mrs.
Milton Woodburn.

Church. Everett is the son of Mr.
& Mrs. Orval Mellin.

A meeting of the parents of
First Cromarty Boy Scouts and
Wolf Cubs was held Tuesday to
organize for the 1973-74 season.
Rev. Jarvis presided for the
meeting.
The secretary, Mrs, Ross
Riley, and the treasurer, Mrs.
Reg, Finlayson, were re-
appointed, with the chairman to
be elected by the group com-
mittee at a later date.
For the remainder of 1973
Scouts and Cubs will meet on
alternate Monday nights.
Persona Is
A large basket of flowers was
placed in the church Sunday in
memory of the late Mrs. William
Hamilton who passed away 10
years ago on November 17.
A large crowd gathered at
Staffa Hall Friday for the
reception for Mr. & Mrs, Ronald
Miller, Cromarty, Craig Ker-
slake read the address and Brian
Dow made the presentation.
Music was provided by Nelson
Howe, Ivan Norris, Murray
Christie and Marjorie Johns,
Mrs. Douglas Eyre and boys
returned to their home Sunday
after spending a few days with
her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Gordon
Scott.
