Eaxem - Seetteoatut Barbara Arlene Stevenson and David Wayne Baxter exchanged wedding vows in the Salvation Army Cathadel, Guelph October 20. Major Ivan McNeilly officiated at the candlelight ceremony with Mrs, Kathy McMillan, cousin of the bride as organist and Mrs, Susan Cann, Exeter, aunt of the bride, as soloist. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a floor length white silk crepe gown with long full sleeves, high neckline, and guipure lace bodice. The same lace also trimmed the waist, down the front and around the bottom of the gown, as well as the full length train. She wore a lace crown with chapel length veil outlined in lace. She carried a bouquet of yellow roses and white daisies with baby's breath. Maid of honor was Jane Atkinson and bridesmaids were Jane Ostler, cousin of the bride, Joanne and Joyce Baxter, sisters of the groom and Mrs. Marg Bennett, also a cousin of the bride. Flower girl was the bride's niece, Laurie Stevenson. They were dressed alike in gowns of emerald green floral sheer nylon with white peter-pan collars and cuffs. The flower girl carried a white basket of yellow and white daisies with small mauve flowers and ribbon and the bridesmaids carried similar bouquets. Rick Baxter, brother of the groom was the best man. Ushers were Marvin Stevenson, brother of the bride, James Baxter, cousin of the groom, Dan Bailey, the groom's brother-in-law and Douglas Cann, cousin of the bride. Ring bearer was Jeffrey Stevenson, the bride's nephew. Following a reception at the Co- op Banquet Hall, Guelph, the couple left for a wedding trip to New York State. For travelling the bride wore an off-white wool flannel jacket with black tur- tleneck sweater and black crepe pants. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G.R. Stevenson, Guelph (the former Jean Cann, Exeter) and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. R.G. Baxter, Guelph. The couple will reside in Guelph. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a crepe empire gown with attached chapel train, Reembroidered alencon lace with Brussel em- broidery, ruffled cuffs on the full bishop sleeves and a matching headpiece complemented the outfit. The bridal bouquet was of white roses, baby's breath and ivy. Kathy Wells, Exeter was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Jessica Lampman, Huron Park, Karen Hern, London, Kari Hearn, Huron Park, and Julie Tiernan, Exeter was the flower girl, The maid of honor was dressed in a long navy dress with baby blue ties and the bridesmaids and flower girl in baby blue dresses with navy velvet ties. They carried white mums and baby's breath. Glen Restemayer, Dashwood was the best man. Ushers were Michael Tieman and John Hayter, both of Dashwood, Blair Hearn, Huron Park and Jeffrey Sweeney, London was the ringbearer. Following a reception at Exeter Legion Hall the couple left for a wedding trip to Calgary and Banff National Park. For travelling the bride changed to a burgundy pant suit with white accessories, The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E, Hearn, Huron Park, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. V. L. Becker, Dash- wood. The couple will reside in Dash- wood. Prior to the marriage the bride was honored at showers given by her aunt, Heather Sweeney, London, by the Becker family, by Kathy Wells, Exeter and Annie Lawson, Exeter. 7V1.9,44.0a — ettetKie In a double-ring ceremony November 3 1973 Janet Elizabeth Cairnie and Dennis Wayne Ferguson exchanged wedding vows at Exeter United Church, Baskets of white gladioli and mums decorated the church for the ceremony conducted by Rev. Glen Wright and B. Cameron provided the music. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a floor length gown of white polyester under a long sleeved hooded lace cape which extended to a chapel train edged with seeded pearls. She carried a cascade of white miniature carnations centered with a lavender cattleya orchid. Maid of honor was the bride's sister, Heather Cairnie. Bridesmaids were Barbara Ferguson, sister of the groom, Leslie Hutchinson, friend of the bride and Tara Leigh Grant, sister of the bride was flower girl. The maid of honor and flower girl were dressed in mauve and the bridesmaids in yellow polyester gowns with empire waists. All carried nosegays of yellow daisies, yellow rosebuds and deep mauve starflowers. Best man was Ron Ferguson, brother of the groom, Guests were ushered by John Cairnie, brother of the bride and Doug Ferguson, brother of the groom and Jamie Grant, brother of the bride was ringbearer. Following a reception at the Pineridge Chalet, the couple left for a two-week Caribbean cruise, For travelling the bride changed to a black and grey and white tweed double knit pant suit with black accessories. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. June Grant, Exeter and John Cairnie, Ottawa and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Ferguson Exeter. The couple will reside in Mississauga.
