ROSS SKINNER ELIMVILLE The Elimville fall anniversary service was observed Sunday, at Elimville United Church with a good crowd, Yellow mums adorned the front. Special music was presented by the choir with Mrs. Philip Johns as organist. Rev. Paul Packman of Brucefield was the guest minister using for his sermon "Freedom is Won- derful." Messengers The Elimville Messengers held their Halloween Party at the Sunday School rooms Friday. A large number were in costume and winners of different classes were: best comic, Tracy Coward, Barbara Skinner; best animal, Kelly Johns, Michael Grubb; Hallowe'en, Jeff Prance, Cindy Armstrong; nursery rhyme, Kim Prance, Nancy Cooper; T.V. personality, Mark Penhale, David Prance; hobo or tramp, Mark Coward, Natalie Stroud; best couple, Rick and Bradley Skinner, Gerald Johns and Kevin Herm Resort man visits NY GRAND BEND Mrs. Ettie Baker and Mrs. Mae Holt called on Mr. & Mrs. Ezra Webb at Green Acres, Grand Bend. Mrs. Lennea Statton from White Rock, B.C. is visiting with Mr. & Mrs. Lawrence Johnson, Grand Bend. Mrs. Rosie Grigg had two groups of women in to quilt Tuesday and Wednesday at Green Acres. Mrs. Myrtle Hughes, Chesley, her son Clifton and his two daughters visited with Mae Holt Thursday. Mr. & Mrs. Jack Holt and Timmy, Gananoque visited with his brother Erwin Holt and family over the weekend. Lawrence Johnson returned home from a five-day trip to New York City Monday. Melvin Peariso is in Hamilton on a business trip. Beginning next week, all services will be held in the afternoon at 1;30. Robert Gardiner arrived home last week from a cattle-buying trip to the west, Mrs, John Jefferson spent last week with Mr. and Mrs, Wm. Laidlaw, Dorchester, John and Robert Kinsman and their mother, Mrs. Earl Kin- sman, visited last week with relatives in the western provinces, Mr. & Mrs. Calder McKaig, Mr. & Mrs. Thos L. Scott, Mr. & Mrs. Wes Russell, Mrs. Grace Scott, and Margaret Laing at- tended anniversary services in Caven Church, Exeter. The speaker was Rev. F. Stewart of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Kitchener. Mr. & Mrs. Murray Ross and their family, Goderich have moved into the home which they purchased from Kenneth McKellar. Mr. McKellar moved recently to an apartment in the west end of Mitchell. Mr. & Mrs. Herman Speare, Scarborough visited Monday with Mr. & Mrs. Calder McKaig. Mr. and Mrs. William Dalrymple, Saskatchewan called on acquaintances in this com- munity Monday. Sunday visitors with Mr. & Mrs, Robert Laing were Mr. & Mrs.William Chessell and Brian, Varna. Mr, & Mrs. Gordon Scott visited in Sheddon with Mr. & Mrs, Douglas Eyre and their new baby boy. Richard Eyre returned home with them after spending a week withhis grandparents.
