If your car has a fresh-air cir-
culating system, don't use it
while following a slow truck up
a hill or creeping in a long line
of traffic; it will suck in exhaust
gases from ahead.
Need a shovel to dig out of
mud, snow or sand? in a
pinch, take off your license
plate and use that.

Radial tires roll more easily
than conventional tires and put
less strain on the engine.
Result: better gas mileage,
Dirty oil on the dipstick? Don't
worry—today's oils are sup-
posed to remove deposits on
carbon from inside the engine.
With normal use, oil changes
are only needed after 4 to 6
thousand miles.
When cold weather is in the of-
fing, the smart driver checks
the muffler, exhaust manifold,
exhaust pipes and breather
pipes for the possibility of es-
caping carbon monoxide.
Con your old car take cold weather? If
there's any doubt, drive into Larry
Sniders for the best dependable car,
