CARDS OF THANKS —
We would like to take this oppor-
tunity to express our sincere thanks
to our relatives, friends and
neighbours for the cards, flowers and
gifts that we received on the occasion
of our 25th wedding anniversary. A
special thanks to our parents and
sons who arranged the dinner and
Suprise Party, the Heywood Boys and
Glen Hodgins for their lovely music,
the Pineridge Chalet, the hard work-
ing four who moved the bed from the
upstairs to the basement, the
neighbours for the wake-up party and
to anyone else who helped make it
such a success. Your kindness will
always be remembered. — Lois and

IN MEMORIAM—
CORNISH — In loving memory of our
dear father and grandfather and
great grandfather Fred Cornish, who
passed away 2 years ago, October 13,
1971.
If only we could see you Dad
Your hands we could but touch
And hear you say "Hello" to us
Things wouldn't hurt so much.
We didn't stand beside you
To see your life depart
But when we heard that you were
gone
It really broke our hearts.
Our hearts still ache with sadness
Our eyes shed many a tear
Only God knows how much we miss
you
And wish that you were here.
Always remembered and sadly
missed by your family, 41p
GILFILLAN — In loving memory of
a dear son, brother and uncle, Grant
Leslie, who passed away October 9,
1964.
Deep in our hearts
His memory is kept
To love and cherish
And never forget,
Lovingly remembered by Mom and
family. 41c
GILFILLAN— In loving memory of a
dear brother, Grant, who left us
suddenly October 9, 1964.
Time goes on with many changes
Joys and sorrows, smiles and tears
But your memory is ever cherished
With the passing of the years.
Always remembered by brother
Bill, Grace and family 41p
McCANN — In loving memory of
father and father-in-law, who passed
away one year ago October 8, 1972,
They say time heals all sorrows
And helps us to forget
But time has only proven
How much we miss you yet.
We often sit and wonder
What you would say and do
If you only knew the changes
Since God parted us from you
To some you may be forgotten
To others a part of the past
But to us who have loved and lost you
Your memory will always last.
Sadly missed by son Pat and
daughter-in-law Lynne. 41p

The regular meeting of the
Huron-Perth County Roman
Catholic Separate School Board,
which regularly starts at 8 P.M.
did not get underway Tuesday
evening in Seaforth until about
10:15 p.m. because of prior
meetings.
The first meeting to cause part
of the delay was a committee-of-
the whole meeting by the Board
which ran into the regular
meeting time. Following this the
Board accepted an invitation
from the teachers under its
jurisdiction to meet with them at
St. James Separate School in
Seaforth to hear a brief clarifying
the position of the teachers with
regard to salary negotiations to
date.
The first business of the
regular meeting was approval of
the Board's personnel committee
to continue to meet with the
teachers' salary negotiating
committee on the salary
negotiations. The two com-
mittees will arrange a date
agreeable to both,
Howard Shantz of Stratford,
chairman of the ad hoc com-
mittee on building projects,
reported the addition and
alterations at Holy Name of Mary
School in St. Marys were com-
pleted except for some possible
minor details. He reported the
parking lot at the school was
gravelled at a cost of $415, a
sidewalk at side of the school
constructed at a cost of $412 and a
new ceiling and stair tower added
at a cost of $154,
Mr. Shantz said there was still
painting, We laying, landscaping
to be done at St. Aloysius School
in Stratford, the site of the other
big building project this past
summer,
He explained to the board a
proposed new subdivision being
planned in Stratford in the
Mornington Avenue area to house
about 5,000 persons where the
board owns 10.87 acres of land,
the possible site for a separate
school in the future.
Members of the board asked if
someone from Stratford council
could attend the next board
meeting to give more details of
exactly what the city plans for
the area, Mr, Shantz said he
would ask Alderman David Rae if
it might be possible for him to
attend,
The majority of the members
of the board agreed that the
whole 10,7 acres of land should be
kept by the board at the present
time and not sell any part of it to
the city.
The Perth branch of the
Ontario Humane Society will be
permitted to circulate forms in
the Stratford separate schools
seeking taggers for a tag day the
Society is having in Stratford.
