vision of life in Christ. We must
not forget to open our doors and
invite everyone to come into a
deeper fellowship with Christ.
"They'll know we are Christians

Everyone received unenthu-

Pentecosta
George Eizinga spoke at the
morning service at the Pen-
tecostal Holiness Church.
He said that the Christian
religion could not be compared to
other religions of the world
because Christ came to die for
the sins of the world.
At the evening service, the
speaker was Carmon Hardy,
London Twp. who emphasized the
need of looking to Jesus who
purifies the souls of man and that
the word of God should be used as
the guide to life,

The board of management met
Tuesday for Rev, R.A. Carson's
last session as chairman. It was a
housekeeping meeting in which
many loose ends were tied and a
tentative program established to
the end of the month.
Mr. Carson explained the
procedure when a vacancy oc-
curs in a parish. The Bishop is the
pastor of all the parishes in the
Diocese of Huron, and it is he who
appoints a substitute to direct the
affairs of the congregations.
He makes this appointment in
consultation with the parochial
committee, which consists of the
people's warden, rector's war-
den, three lay delegates and three
substitute lay delegates from
Holy Trinity and the two wardens,
two lay delegates and two sub-
stitute delegates from St. James'
Church.
During a vacancy in a parish,
the Bishop is responsible for the
church services. He usually
appoints someone to take the
service in each congregation,
Sunday members of Irving
Masonic Lodge attended the
service of morning prayer. The
choir under the direction of Mrs.
C. Hardy sang an anthem and
Brother Robert Anderson of
Irving Lodge read the lesson.
Rev. Carson preached on the
theme `For this we Stand'. He
took as his text "Be alert, stand
firm in the faith, be valiant and
strong. Let all you do be done in
love."
Mr. Carson said there was
ambiguity and skepticism that
made it unfashionable to believe
in God. We are asked to be
identified with the world, to do
what is popular at the expense of
what is right.
Mr. Carson said we stand for
the authority of God in human
life. We stand for the dignity of
man; and we stand for the
