time, now is the day of
salvation!"

Mrs. Maud Connon, while the
musical highlight was a solo by

about the pain in my leg for one
simple reason. The pain in my
mouth was worse, For the first
time in weeks, my wisdom tooth
picked Sunday night to, act up,
The toothache and ac-
companying earache made me
forget all about my sore leg. That
is, until I jumped up to get
another aspirin and it buckled
underneath me,
As I said before, I am not
usually too much of a hypocon-
driac. But if there is one thing I
hate, it is being sick alone. I am
not one to suffer in stoic silence
and the first thing I thought to do
was call my mother.
Of course I woke her up. What
else, but sleeping was she apt to
be doing after a busy weekend at
11:30 Sunday night. And she
couldn't do anything for me,
being 105 miles away.
But she knew all the right
things to say in all the right
places, and that in itself was like
a dose of medicine.
So here I sit.My tooth is fine
now, but I am still hobbling
around the office. Everybody
calls me Chester and asks where
Mr, Dillon is.
Be that as it may, I hope it is a
long time before I have another
"one of those days,"

crisis". He showed that the
scriptures spoke of wisdom and
knowledge. He said the church
has always been interested in
education. In fact, one often
wonders if education were left to
private enterprise, rather than to
government control, would it be
more economically managed.
To-day Mr. Carson said, we
tend to produce educated devils
rather than upright men. He
quoted the Duke of Wellington
and Arnold Toynbee. Toynbee
said, "We have become gods in
technology and apes in life."
Mr. Carson concluded, by
saying that we need to bring our
knowledge of truth as it is
revealed in Jesus Christ to the
problems of daily life.
