print over orange taffeta with
baby doll sleeves. She carried a
bouquet of orange and white
mums,
Best man was Brian Hodgins,
Lucan, Ushers were Art
Wilkinson, and Brian Hodgson.
Following a reception in the
chureh parlours, the couple left
for a wedding trip to the United
States,
For travelling, the bride chose
a burgundy long sleeved dress
With black accessories.
The bride is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Edwin K. Morley, RR, 3,
Ailsa Craig and the groom is. the
son of Mr. and Mrs. Art
Wilkinson, Lucan.
The couple will reside in
Exeter.

special tribute to Mr. Letshrnan
in recognition of the gifts. Mrs.
Dan Bylsma was guest soloist.
"The Band" played their last
concert for this season Monday
afternoon, This group with
Dwayne Linner as their leader
include Wendy lvicAstocker,
Gerda Potzel, Paul Cummings,
Ernie Pfrimmer, Ernie
McMillan, Elizabeth Scarman,
Marie Boyle and Stephen Smith.
This Opportunity for Youth
program has been very suc-
cessful as it has given a great
deal of enjoyment to the residents
of Huronview as well as several
nursing homes in the area.
Eight tables of euchre and
crokinole were played Wed-
nesday with volunteers from the
Vanastra Opt.-Mrs. Club. Peggy
Hammond, Marlene Thurlow and
Sandy Winfield assisted with the
games.
Slide pictures of special events
and birthdays taken during the
past year at the home were
shown "family night." The
Huronview orchestra with Pearl
Gidley at the piano, Mrs, Mary
Taylor, mouth organ and Nor-
man Spier, violin provided
musical numbers for the
program.

Given in marriage by her
parents, the bride wore a white
Hoer length gown with an empire
waist and yellow ribbons to the
floor, The long tiered veil was
topped with yellow daisies.
The bride carried a bouquet of
yellow daisies, carnations,
baby's breath and bachelor
buttons.
Matron of honor was Marilyn
Helmer, Exeter, Other at-tendants were Diane Moody and
Cheryl Moody, junior
bridesmaid, both of Kingston.
Their dresses were styled
similarly With the matron of
honor in yellow and bridesmaids
in green. The junior bridesmaid
carried a nosegay and the other
attendants bouquets of yellow
daisies, baby's breath and
bachelor buttons.
Tom Patterson, Exeter was the
best man. Guests were ushered
by Darrell Wyatt, Exeter and
Ron Grasdhal, Crediton.
Ringbearer was Calvin Moody.
In a variation of the traditional
ceremony, the entire wedding
party, including the ushers and
attendants in couples, the parents
of the bride, the groom and his
parents all walked up the aisle.
Following a reception at the
Exeter Legion, the couple left for
a wedding trip to Eastern
Ontario.
The bride is the daughter of
Warrant Officer and Mrs, Calvin
Moody, CFB Kingston and the
groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs,
Ed Wilcox, Exeter.
The couple will reside in
London.

ceremony with music provided
by sister of the bride Sylvia. Cann
and soloist Joyce Butler, Lucan,
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride wore a floor
length white satin gown with
empire wasitline, stand-up
collar, and lace bodice overlay.
The gown also featured short lace
sleeves, a bow at the back and a
long train also trimmed with
lace. The headpiece was a white
bow and roses from which flowed
five long rose tendrils. The dress
and headpiece were both bought
in Holland during a vacation in
Europe this summer.
The bridal bouquet was of
yellow roses, white carnations
and baby's breath.
Maid of honor was Chris Cann,
sister of the bride, The bride was
also attended by her niece,
Michele Gray and sister, Annette
Cann.
The maid of honor wore a floor-
length gown of gold and white
floral printed polyester with
round ruffled collar trimmed
with gold ribbon, short puff
sleeves and a gold satin ribbon
around the midriff waistline, The
bridesmaids wore similarly
styled dresses in white seer-
sucker,
Raymond McMillan, brother of
the groom, was the best man.
Guests were ushered by Bob
Gray, brother-in-law of the bride
and Stephen Cann, brother of the
bride.
Following a reception at the
church, the couple left for a
wedding trip to Northern Ontario.
For travelling,/ the bride wore a
navy and grey checked knit pant
suit with matching navy blouse
and navy accessories.
The bride is the daughter of Mr,
and Mrs, Bruce Cann, Exeter and
the groom is the son of Mr.
Truman McMillan and the late
Mrs. McMillan, Kenora, Ontario,
The couple will reside in
Peterborough where the groom
attends Eastern Pentecostal
Bible College and the bride is
employed by the Peterborough
Board of Education.

Exeter United Church provided
the setting when wedding vows
were exchanged between
Christine Nancy Moody and
Timothy Ralph Wilcox, Sep-
tember 1, 1973.
Rev. Snell officiated at the
ceremony with Mrs, Mary Moffet
providing the music.

Pottery, the oldest craft known
to man, with Bible references
was the interesting topic given by
Mrs. Jack Doerr for the first fall
meeting of the ladies of Caven
Presbyterian Church.
Clay for the potter has many
challenges and possibilities - an
ideal medium for those who seek
relation, or for those who want to
teach or for therapeutic pur-
poses. Making pottery is a per-
sonal way of inspiration and
fulfilment.
Some very good clay is found in
Alberta, New Brunswick,
Georgian Bay, Quebec. The most
superior clay is found in Asia
with importsfrom Jordan and
Wherever man is or has been
you will likely find pieces of pots:
Jacques Cousteau says "more
knowledge of past civilizations
has been gained from reclaimed
pottery then all the gold and
precioustombs. artifacts of kings'
Mrs. Doerr recently attended a
y. conference in Banff where slides
were shown of pottery pieces
found in Mexico which are dated
at 4-5000 B.C. They are so
recently discovered that even the
Mexican government has not
seen them. Over 33 countries had
representations with 1493 pieces
to be judged with 254 accepted.
"The creative use of man's
faculties enables him to meet his
needs", said Mrs, Doerr. We are
instinctively. creative. The world
around us shows the effect of
man's creativity. Comparison
was made between a clay figure
and the human body molded by
nature's great Potter - God
