Councillor Ted Wright said he
had been approached by an area
trapper who wanted permission
to catch the animals.
Wright said the trapper had
informed him the pests were
doing considerable damage to the
banks of the lagoon.
Councillor Bruce Shaw moved
that permission not be granted,
and when asked for his reasons,
stated he was not convinced
trapping was done humanely.
He said when the question
arose last year, he had in-
terviewed the prospective
trappers and was not convinced
their traps were humane.
Wright said the man seeking
permission to trap this year had
the new traps that caused death
almost instantaneously.
He went on to say that one town
employee had advised him there
were muskrats "by the hun-
dreds" at the lagoon.
It was finally agreed to lay the
matter over with members of
council to inspect the damage

IN MEMORIAM —
WOODi3URN — In loving memory of
a dear husband, father and grand-
father, Emerson Woodburn, who
passed away two years ago,
September 9, 1971.
This day we do remember
A loving thought we give
To one no longer with us
But in our hearts still lives
He would not wish us sorrow
He would not wish us tears
But just to be remembered
Throughout the years.
Ever loved and sadly missed by
wife Edna, daughters Leona and
Barb and families 36c
HARLTON — In loving memory of
our dearest wife and mother Alberta,
whom God took home 9 years ago,
September 13, 1964.
To a beautiful life came a sudden end
She died as she lived everyone's
friend
She was always thoughtful, loving
and kind
What a glorious memory she leaves
behind.
She left so suddenly, her thoughts
unknown
But she left us a memory we are
proud to men.
Treasure her God, in your garden of
rest
For in this world she was one of the
best.
Sadly missed by her husband
Herbert and family. 36c
KEYES — In loving memory of a
dear husband and father Elmore A.
Keyes, who went to be with the Lord,
September 7, 1967,
There is comfort in just knowing
There's a loving God who knows
Why dark clouds obscure the sun-
shine •
Why a frost should blight a rose!
Why the beauty of a songbird
Is oft prematurely stilled
Or why a loved one journeys on
Leaving voids that can't be filled!
But we today in simple faith
Trust all our "Why's" to Him
And know some day He'll make it
plain
When clouds of sorrow dim.
Lovingly remembered and sadly
missed by his wife Florence and sons
Grant and Gerald. 36p
LOVIE — In loving memory of hus-
band, father, grandfather and great
grandpa, John 0, Lovie, who passed
away September 3, 1972.
Softly within the shadows
He heard. the Master's call
And taking the hand that was offered
He quietly left us all.
Always remembered by wife and
families 36c
SWARTZ — In loving memory of
a dear father and grandfather,Harry
Swartz, who passed away September
11, 1971,
Softly within the shadows
He heard a gentle call
And taking the hand that was offered
He quietly left us all.

CUTTING —In loving memory of my
wife Shirley Cutting, who passed
away one year ago, September 6.
Sad was the parting no one can tell
So sudden on earth the sorrow fell
The blow was hard, the shock severe
To part with her I loved so dear
Dearer still as years depart
Her memory lives within my heart.
Sadly. missed and not forgotten by
her loving husband Jack Cutting
CUTTING — In loving memory of our

CUTTING — In loving memory of a
wonderful friend, Shirley Cutting,
who passed away one year ago,
September 6, 1972.
The Heavenly gates were open
One year ago to-day
With good-byes left unspoken
She gently passed away.
She couldn't say. good-bye to us
Perhaps it was just as well
We never could have said good-bye
To one we loved so well.
Just when her life was brightest
Just when her hopes seemed best
God took her from amongst us
To her eternal rest.
Ever remembered and very sadly
missed by her friends, Shirley and
