The Tigers mounted a slim

but could score only once. Jim

Tupperville third baseman
muffed a sharp ground ball down
the line. Gary Hartman singled to
score Guenther but the next two
Dashwood batters were retired to
end the ball game and the season.
Norm Oxley went the distance
on the. Tupperville mound to pick
up his second straight series
victory.
Veteran southpaw Dave Ratz
started for Dashwood. He ran
into trouble in the sixth and was
relieved by right hander Bill
Schade, Before making his first
pitch to the plate, Schade picked
a Tupperville runner off third
base for the second out of the
inning.
The next two batters reached
base on a walk and by being hit
and Tom Eves singled to score
both runners. At this point Jim
Guenther who started catching

places with Schade. Guenther
struck out the first man he faced
to end the inning.
Guenther continued to pitch the
last three innings and was
combed for three home runs in
addition to giving up four walks.
