HUGH MORENZ Mr, & Mrs. Lorne Dietrich, accompanied by Mr. & Mrs. Ted Dietrich, St, Clair Beach, and Dorothy Breen, Toronto returned Friday from a month's motor trip through the west to Victoria Island and home through the U.S. Mr. & Mrs. Cliff Russell, Bruce and Kathy returned home last Thursday from a three-week motor trip through the west as far as B.C. Mrs. Cliff Dell, Clinton, Howie, Tanya and Cynthia, Belleville are holidaying with Mrs. Dell's sister and brother-in-law, Mr. & Mrs. Hugh Morenz, Cathy McKeever and friends are enjoying a holiday at Ipperwash Beach. Many relatives and friends surprised Mary Angela Glavin, bride-elect of August 11, with a bridal shower given by Anne Hall and Margaret Anne Inson Wednesday at tatters' home in Huron Park. Mrs. Magdeline Brinkman, Detroit attended the funeral of her brother, John Moser who died in St. Marys' Hospital, London Saturday after a lengthy illness. Jim and Earl Breen, London, visited friends in the village last Monday and attended John Moser's funeral, A large crowd of relatives and friends attended the wedding reception of Mr. & Mrs. Eugene Glavin Saturday held in Lucan at the Shillelagh Hotel. Joe Regier Sr. and Jack McCann have returned home from St, Joseph's Hospital, London. Geo. Danny and Sandra Smith, London spent last week holidaying with their grand- mother Mrs. Ruby Little, Greenway, Roll call is about India The July meeting of the Elimville U.C,W, was held Wednesday with Mrs. Hans Gerstenkorn and Mrs. Floyd Cooper in charge of the program. Roll call was "an interesting fact about India." Mrs. Cooper read the scripture. and Mrs. Gerstenkorn gave the study on "The green revolution of India". A Thank You card was read from Mrs. Ava Murray and Mrs. Howard Pym gave the report of the barbecue. Plans were made for the "Luncheon is Served" to be held in October for a noon luncheon. It was moved to send $5 to Five Oaks, Persona Is Cathy and Judith Coates, Exeter spent the weekend with their grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Squire Herdman. Mrs. Hilson Whiteford and Julie, Ingersoll visited Friday with Amos and Herman Herd- man. There will be no Sunday School and church services at Elimville United Church for 4 weeks while Rev. Barry and Mrs. Robinson are on holidays. Mr. & Mrs. Milan Nash, Toronto visited Sunday with Mr. & Mrs. Harold Bell. Sympathy is extended to Mr, & Mrs. Hubert Heywood in the passing of Mrs. Edna Bibby sister-in-law of Mrs. Heywood.
