Reverend Frank Dalton of Parkhill officiated. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kelly Robinson, RR 3, Ailsa Craig and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Pickering RR 3, Parkhill, Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a formal- length white gown with empire waist, wedding ring collar and short puffed sleeves, A ruffle encircled the built-in train and all were trimmed with white guipure lace woven with pink ribbon, The bridal bouquet was a nosegay of white mums with yellow centres and pink roses buds with trailing pink ribbon. Lynda Robinson, sister of the bride was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Judy Robinson, sister of the bride and Joyce Mawson, sister of the groom. They were dressed alike in long dresses with blue flowered skirts • and white bodices in a bib-effect. They wore white daisy mums in their hair. All carried nosegays of pink rosebuds and white daisy mums with trailing royal blue ribbons. Following a reception at the Parkhill Community Centre the couple left for a honeymoon to the southern states, For travelling the bride changed to a white dress with a red smocking on the bodice and red ribbon edged a tie belt and the sleeves. (Bill) Berends, July 28, 1973, Rev, Frank Morgret conducted the ceremony with music provided by Helen Nadiger and soloist Mrs. Mary Anne Desjardine, Parkhill. Given in marriage by her son, Jack Schenk, the bride wore a gown of ivory rachelle lace fashioned with an empire waist • and matching hood. She carried a white orchid, carnations and stephanotis, Mrs. Delmar Miller, RR 1, Dashwood, was the matron of honor. She wore a soft mint green floor length gown and carried a nosegay of yellow shasta daisies and baby's breath. The groom was attended by Tenuis Berends, his brother, of Exeter. Ushers were Delmar Miller, RR 1 Dashwood and Robert Green, Huron Park. Following a wedding dinner at the church and reception at Exeter Legion, the couple left for a wedding trip to the west coast. For travelling the bride changed to a tan and brown knit pantsuit. The couple will reside in Exeter., ZaZeaa 7,011461 Rev. Mrs. Vera Balfour, Kitchener visited this week with her sister Mr. & Mrs. Charlie Paul, David Robinson has returned home from a tour of Europe. A Spanish style veil of matching lace fastened to a pearl and lace headdress and she carried a nosegay of white gardenias and red roses. Maid of honor was Mary Ann Dozois and bridesmaids were Brenda Wilson and Annie Margodt, Laurie and Shelly Brown were the flower girls. Mary Ann wore a mauve rib- boned voile gown with French Alecon lace bodice with bell- shaped sleeves, bouffant skirt, Brenda was wearing French blue ribboned voile, French Alecon lace bodice, styled similar to Mary Ann's, Annie's was identical in a golden rod yellow shade. The flower girls wore hot pink ribboned voile gowns and each attendant wore a TOWN TOPICS The neighbours and friends of the Whilsmith apartments gathered at the apartment of Mrs. Gordon Heywood recently, A birthday party was held in honor of Mrs,011ieTebbutton the occasion of her 90th birthday, July 26, Mrs.Tebbuttnow resides in the Exeter Nursing Home. Following the reception held in the Sapony Restaurant, the newlyweds left for their wedding trip to Winnipeg, Manitoba and to visit friends in Kenora. Upon return the young couple took up residence in Chatham. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Mason, Huron Park, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary July 29 at Crediton Community Hall. They were married. August 12, 1923 in Harrietsville by Rev. Stewart at the bride's home. Their bridesmaid, Mrs. Roy Hodgins RR 2, Ailsa Craig, best man Bruce McVicar, Glanworth, and flower girl Mrs. Charles De Groat, RR 1, Springfield, were present for the celebration. They have two children, Mrs. Gerald (Annie) Lawson, Exeter, Mrs. Shirley Cooke, London and three grandchildren Janet Cooke, London, Peter Lawson, London and John Lawson, Exeter. Mr. and Mrs, Mason hayed lived in Centralia, Exeter, Lucknow and now are retired to r‘-‘ Huron Park. The tea table looked lovely with yellow flowers, gold candles and wedding cake. Tea was poured by sisters of the bride and served by nieces. Letters of congratulation were recieved from Robert Stanfield and Robert McKinley. The couple were also given gold rings by their family. Guests were present from Sarnia Lon- don, Belmont, liarrietsyille, Lucknow and Paris. Geo.
