EXETER ARENA
By MRS. IRVIN ,RAD8R
This is the day the Lord bath
made;
He calls the hours His own;
Let heav'n rejoice, let earth be
glad.
And praise surround the throne.
Yes, Zion Lutheran church
celebrated 100 years since its
founding and the Lord truly
blessed it with a beautiful day for
old friends to journey to worship
Doctor Frank Malinsky,
honorary president of the Ontario
District, who preached his first
sermon in Ontario in this church
when he was a vicar.
Rev, Ernst George Mueller
took as his text for the sermon,
"And. God Created . You'." How
proud he must have felt as he
recalled that his grandfather was
one of the members of this church
Following the service, the
Ladies Aid was in charge of a pot
with the present congregation.
The church was filled to
overflowing and no one minded
because it was as nice outside as
in.
The church was beautiful
because the centennial com-
mittee, Ron Merner, Pastor
Morgret and their helpers
decorated, it with red and white
gladioli against an evergreen
background.
Rev. Frank Morgret was
assisted in the liturgy by the Rev.
