Mr. & Mrs. Bill Woodburn accompanied by Mrs. John Hall and Philip Hall attended the funeral of the late Mr, Thomas Hall in Detroit, Mr, & Mrs. Jim Mater and children, Simcoe spent Sunday with Mr. & Mrs. Joe Carey and Mr. & Mrs. Hubert Carey and their families. Mrs. Clara O'Rourke and Mary Lodge Strathroy visited with relatives in this village last week. John Campbell returned time from Exeter Hospital feeling much better. Leona, John Glavin, Dennis, David, Anne and Donna have returned home after a three week holiday in the Western Provinces and Vancouver. While there they attended the Calgary Stampede. Mrs. Catherine Morrissey visited in Stratford on Sunday with Geraldine Harness. John and Theresa Glavin visited her relatives in St. Agatha and Stratford last Sunday, Members of the C.W.L. met at the home of Mrs. Greg Fleming Monday eve to finish plans on the barbecue chicken supper to be held on the church grounds Aug. 12. They toured the Hespeler Textile Mills, Dundurn Castle and the Botanical Gardens in Hamilton and returned to Kitchener for dinner and shop- ping. The tour was sponsored by Centralia United Church women who were joined by ladies of surrounding communities. Personals Mrs, Helen Joyce of Lorain, Ohio was a weekend guest with Mr, & Mrs. Ken Greb. Mabel Refoir of Strathroy is visiting for a couple of weeks with Mr. & Mrs. Fred Cunnington. Mr. & Mrs. Elmore-Dunn and Cathy of Toronto are holidaying with Mrs. George Dunn. Mr. & Mrs. Ray Shoebottom and Mary, accompanied by Lois Elliott who was a visitor with them for a week, returned home on Sunday after vacationing at their cottage at Parry Sound. Savary is on holidays and Larry Lewis Granton conducted the service and was speaker for the service. Personals Nancy and Marylou Tindall were guests at a birthday party for Penny Smith at the home of her parents Mr. & Mrs. Harvey Smith on Saturday. The girls went swimming at the pool in Exeter visited Story Book Gardens and ate at "Mac- donalds".
