Riverview Park and the Morrison
Dam is feasible, but the property
owners involved want some
assurances they would not be
held liable for any injuries
sustained on their lands or that
their lands would not be
damaged.
Dan Wilson, a member of the
Ausable Bayfield Conservation
Authority SWEEP group, told
council he had surveyed the
possibility of the walk and found
it had good possibilities.
He also said he had talked to all' S
involved and found they were

to make certain they had no
obligation towards people using

the use and cost sharing of the
lagoon system,
The ministry is expected to
soon make application to the
Ontario Municipal Board for
approval of the funds required.
With the delays have come
some increased costs. New
estimates on the project are
"There would be no revenue $687,000, an increase of almost

After considerable debate,
council asked that their solicitor
be asked for his opinion on what
type of agreement was required
to protect the property owners.
Reeve Derry Boyle said he did
not oppose the idea in principle,
but expressed some concern over
the costs involved in the main-
tenance.
He noted Exeter already had a
large park system that was costly
to upkeep and suggested the
addition of a trail could
necessitate the hiring of another
staff member on a part-time
basis.
