DALEY'S WEEKLY COMMENTS Congratulations Area WI members enjoy bus trip By SID DALEY Branch 540 Royal Canadian Legion congratulate our northern neighbor as they celebrate their 100th birthday. We wish the folk of Exeter all the best as they start celebrating the fact. We trust that Mother Nature will give you the very best of good weather and About 38 members and friends enjoyed the annual WI bus trip to Black Creek Pioneer Village, just north of Toronto, The group toured the village before and after a dinner at "Half-way House" in the village and later resumed their trip to the "African Lion Safari" at Rockton. This natural "zoo' is well worth seeing and has been enlarged considerably in the last two years. To celebrate 91st birthday He said all of humanity may be divided into four basic classes: the stars, the bullies, the clinging vines, and the turtles. Jesus was all three - a star from the beginning; a bully when he drove out the money changers; a clinging vine when he wept for Jerusalem and a turtle when he went off into the desert. Some people are more of one than the other three, but there is a place for each kind of people in God's world. Rev, Douglas Storey, Chair- man of the Inducting Committee for Presbytery, Byron U.C. presented Mr. Madden to the congregations. Rev. Father McGraw, St. Patrick's Parish, Rev. R.A. He spoke on the subject, "Looking to Jesus" He referred to the children's hymn: "Wise Men Seeking Jesus", and said "Wise men still seek Him". Jesus is our goal, our example, and the bread of life. We all need a goal, and in Jesus Christ man has been given his ultimate goal, the vision of love on earth. That vision is attained through the way of the Cross, which is the way of love - radical love, tough-minded love. If you want to learn what love is, you must turn to the life of Jesus, What Jesus demanded was radical love, radical un- derstanding, radical purity of purpose, radical determination, radical hope, radical power. Jesus demanded that anyone wishing to follow him be willing to give up everything that he held dear, if it interfered with the cause of love.
