An area student was among the
209graduates participating in the
55th annual commencement
exercises held recently at
Eastern Mennonite College,
Harrisonburg, Virginia.
Esther G. Steckle, Zurich, an
alumnus of Central Huron
Secondary School, received a BS
degree in nursing. She is the
daughter of Mrs.' Seleda. Steekle
and the late Daniel S. Steckle. At
EMC, Miss Steckle served as
treasurer of the senior class and
as a dormitory resident assistant.
The conferral of degrees by
President Myron S. Augsburger
followed an address to the
graduates by Dr. Erland Walt-
ner, president of Mennonite
Biblical Seminary in Elkhart,
Indiana.

The regular meeting of the
Hensall A,C.W. was held at the
rectory in Exeter. President Mrs.
G.A. Anderson presided and
opened the meeting with
devotions. Mrs. W. Scrabuik read
the scripture lesson followed by
prayers by Olive Petty, Mrs. D.
Windover and Mrs. E.J. Roberts.
Mrs. Windover gave a very
interesting report of the Deanery
meeting in Kincardine. Mrs.
Anderson read portions of the
News Letter and stressed the
need for more missionary funds.
Mrs. F. Clark took the study
entitled "Appreciation is Magic"..
An auction sale in conjunction
with Trivitt Memorial was
planned for late summer. The
next meeting is scheduled to be a
picnic in July on the church lawn.
Mrs. Anderson explained the
fellowship of the least Coin.
The meeting closed with prayer
alter which everyone went to the
"Parish Hall to enjoy a
programme of slides and solos.

cleaner in the mill burned.
Mrs. Ernest Pym, who has
been a patient in South Huron
Hospital Exeter for the past two
weeks returned home Tuesday.
Mr, & Mrs. Allan Wanner,
Shirley and Kenneth, Sarnia; Mr.
& Mrs. Hubert Hunter, Elimville;
Mr, & Mrs. John Pym and family,
Exeter; Mrs. Knight and Mr. &
Mrs. Ton Haley, Scaforth visited
with Mr. & Mrs. Ernest Pym
Sunday.
Mrs. Maude Hedden is a
patient in South Huron Hospital.
Eric Mansfield is a patient in St.
Josephs Hospital, London where
he underwent surgery Tuesday.

the sermon topic preached by
Rev. Don Beck at the Hensall
United Church Sunday morning.
The choir sang the anthem ac-
companied by Mrs. Turkheim on
the organ and Mrs. Joyce Pepper
on the piano.
This service concluded ser-
vices at Chiselhurst and Hensall
Churches for the month of July.
Carmel Presbyterian Church
services will be held at 11:15 a.m.
during the month of July. Ser-
vices at Chiselhurst and Hensall
United will resume again in
August.

Pepper Reunion
The 26th annual Pepper
reunion was held in Seaforth
Lions Park, Sunday with 52
present. The sports were con-
ducted under, the leadership of
Roy and Irene Pepper and Roy
and Barb Walter.
Results are as follows; races,
girls under 6, Judy Walter; 6-10
Laurie Pepper; 10-14, Brenda
Pepper; young ladies, Brenda
Pepper; ladies kick the slipper,
June Walter; mens kick the
slipper, Ross Gordon; ladies
elimination, Laurie' and Jo-anne
Pepper; mens elimination, Leslie
Falconer;
Oldest person present was Mrs.
George (Kate) Pepper, Mitchell;
youngest person, 5-week-old
Michael Pepper, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Ron Pepper, Kitchener;
guess the contents of a can, Cliff
Pepper; relay team for un-
braiding, mens team; balloon
relay, Lois Batters team; lucky
spot, Cliff Pepper. A peanut
scramble was enjoyed by the
children.
After a delicious supper,
president Cliff Pepper conducted
the short business meeting. It
was moved that all the Officers
remain in their same position for
the coming year. They are
president, Cliff Pepper; vice-
president, Cecil Pepper;
secretary-treasurer, Mrs. Lillian
Pepper; sports committee, Roy
and Irene Pepper and Roy and
Barb Walter; table committee,
Norman and Edna Pepper,
Stewart and Grace Pepper.
Bolton-Ford Reunion
The fifth annual Bolton-Ford
reunion was held June 24 at the
summer home of Mr. and Mrs.
J.C. Munn, Ipperwash. There
was a perfect attendance. Sports
were under the supervision of
Carolyn Fedy and Mr. and *Mrs.
John Munn Jr.

in amatuer hour went to Jeffrey
Hoffman, Bobby Dulong, Bobby
Fedy, Robbie Hoffman and
Daniel Munn. A smorgasbord
supper concluded the afternoon,
after which Mrs. John Munn gave
out gifts to each of the 30 children
present.
