Esther G. Steckle, Zurich, an alumnus of Central Huron Secondary School, received a BS degree in nursing. She is the daughter of Mrs.' Seleda. Steekle and the late Daniel S. Steckle. At EMC, Miss Steckle served as treasurer of the senior class and as a dormitory resident assistant. The conferral of degrees by President Myron S. Augsburger followed an address to the graduates by Dr. Erland Walt- ner, president of Mennonite Biblical Seminary in Elkhart, Indiana. Anderson presided and opened the meeting with devotions. Mrs. W. Scrabuik read the scripture lesson followed by prayers by Olive Petty, Mrs. D. Windover and Mrs. E.J. Roberts. Mrs. Windover gave a very interesting report of the Deanery meeting in Kincardine. Mrs. Anderson read portions of the News Letter and stressed the need for more missionary funds. Mrs. F. Clark took the study entitled "Appreciation is Magic".. An auction sale in conjunction with Trivitt Memorial was planned for late summer. The next meeting is scheduled to be a picnic in July on the church lawn. Mrs. Anderson explained the fellowship of the least Coin. The meeting closed with prayer alter which everyone went to the "Parish Hall to enjoy a programme of slides and solos. Thompson and Son Mill when a cleaner in the mill burned. Mrs. Ernest Pym, who has been a patient in South Huron Hospital Exeter for the past two weeks returned home Tuesday. Mr, & Mrs. Allan Wanner, Shirley and Kenneth, Sarnia; Mr. & Mrs. Hubert Hunter, Elimville; Mr, & Mrs. John Pym and family, Exeter; Mrs. Knight and Mr. & Mrs. Ton Haley, Scaforth visited with Mr. & Mrs. Ernest Pym Sunday. Mrs. Maude Hedden is a patient in South Huron Hospital. Don Beck at the Hensall United Church Sunday morning. The choir sang the anthem ac- companied by Mrs. Turkheim on the organ and Mrs. Joyce Pepper on the piano. This service concluded ser- vices at Chiselhurst and Hensall Churches for the month of July. Carmel Presbyterian Church services will be held at 11:15 a.m. during the month of July. Ser- vices at Chiselhurst and Hensall United will resume again in August. A speech is like a love affair. Any fool can start one, but to end it tidily requires considerable skill. The sports were con- ducted under, the leadership of Roy and Irene Pepper and Roy and Barb Walter. Results are as follows; races, girls under 6, Judy Walter; 6-10 Laurie Pepper; 10-14, Brenda Pepper; young ladies, Brenda Pepper; ladies kick the slipper, June Walter; mens kick the slipper, Ross Gordon; ladies elimination, Laurie' and Jo-anne Pepper; mens elimination, Leslie Falconer; Oldest person present was Mrs. George (Kate) Pepper, Mitchell; youngest person, 5-week-old Michael Pepper, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ron Pepper, Kitchener; guess the contents of a can, Cliff Pepper; relay team for un- braiding, mens team; balloon relay, Lois Batters team; lucky spot, Cliff Pepper. A peanut scramble was enjoyed by the children. After a delicious supper, president Cliff Pepper conducted the short business meeting. It was moved that all the Officers remain in their same position for the coming year. Bolton-Ford Reunion The fifth annual Bolton-Ford reunion was held June 24 at the summer home of Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Munn, Ipperwash. There was a perfect attendance. A smorgasbord supper concluded the afternoon, after which Mrs. John Munn gave out gifts to each of the 30 children present. By MRS.
