Gerald H. Snowdon, Seaforth
died suddenly at his home, June
25, 1973 in his 64th year.
He was the husband of Cornelia
Wilgenkamp and father of Mrs.
Peter (Mary Ann) Rowat,
Toronto; Pamela, Seaforth;
James. R., Dublin; and Thomas,
Seaforth
He is also survived by a sister,
Gwendolyn, Exeter; a brother
Oswald, Seaforth; and three
grandchildren.
Funeral services are to be held
June 28, 1973 from St. Thomas
Anglican Church, Seaforth with
Rev. Stanley Sharpies officiating.
R.S. Box Funeral Home is in

Isabelle Wilson passed away at
Green Gables Nursing Home
Parkhill on June 21, 1973.
She was predeceased by her
husband, James Wilson and was
the mother of Olive Gallagher,
Newbury, Col. J.W. Saunders of
Saskatoon, William L. Saunders,
Denver, Marjorie Watley of
Vancouver and Helen Boden of
Regina. She was the stepmother
of Nola (Mr's. Carlyle Taylor)
Grand Bend.
She was predeceased by one
son, Ted Saunders (1964).
Funeral services were held at
the M. Box & Son Funeral Home,
Parkhill, June 23 at 2 p,m.
Interment was in Parkhill

retirement dinner Monday had
nothing but praise for his service
to the community and to the
school.
Principal of SHDHS, Joe
Wooden, said that there are "no
better busing operations in
Ontario" and also gave credit to
the men and women who have
driven the buses over the years.
"The service is just great,"
said Mr. Wooden. He said it was
much better than in most other
places and that Mr. Guenther
was always able to supply buses
when they were needed, no
matter how short the notice,
On behalf of the drivers, Norm
Walper presented a gift to Mr.
and Mrs. Guenther. "I speak for
all the drivers when I say it has
been an honor to be associated
with you," Mr. Walper told Mr.
Guenther.
Pat Strain and Mery Davies,
vice president of Charterways
and manager of the Sarnia office
consecutively, also paid their
tributes and presented Mr.
Guenther with a gift.

Exeter were the people who

"You can be proud of Exeter,"

"all the amenities for young and

Dr. Wilfred Jury, a Member of
the Provincial Sites Board, ex-
plained that it was "no easy
task" building Exeter's history
down into the 114 words contained
on the plaque.
He said he asked to attend the
Exeter ceremony because he has
done considerable study on the
Huron Tract.
Another speaker, David
McClure, vice-president of the
Huron County Historical Society,
expressed a need to instill the
importance of history into the
minds of young people.

About one-fifth of the names

"It's odd they're not here," he
said, adding that he was sure
those in the audience would be
glad they had attended.

when he returned to his home in
Stratford after being in Truro,
Nova Scotia.
Following the ceremonies, the
Rev. Harold Snell dedicated the
plaque.
