The atmosphere of the entire
hotel operation will be aimed at
establishing a feeling of
relaxation and comfort.
The picture lounge and Tiffany
dining lounge manager is Bill.
Hamilton and he has promised
many new and different exciting.
foods and refreshments in both
rooms.
Bill has lined up a vast variety
of gourmet food and will. have a
full wine list available. The
special of the dining lounge will
be chicken cordon blue. Also
featured will be famous Italian
and German foods.
Included on the menu will be
steaks, shrimp, cabbage rolls,
barbecued spare ribs, sauerkraut
and pig tails and last but far from
least, the famous Dashwood
sausage.
A salad table will be available
to diners on weekends, Special
menus will be available for
banquets and wedding parties.
In charge of the kitchen will be
Mrs. Luella Tient an, whose
father-in-law, Ezra Tiernan was
one of the early owners of the
hotel. She will be assisted by Mrs.
Violet Bender.
The Tiffany dining lounge will
be open Monday through
Saturday from 12 noon until eight
o'clock in the evening and Sunday
hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m.
In the Picture lounge, meals
will be available from the lunch
menu every day from Monday to
Saturday from noon until 8 p.m.
The decor of the two rooms has
been completely changed.
Handling the designing has been
Three's Company of London
under the personal direction of
Ron Robinson,
In addition to the Tiffany lamps
in the dining lounge, an added
feature is a mirror which hung in
prominence for many years in
the original home of Sir John A.
MacDonald on the Rideau. It has
been loaned to the Dashwood
..hotel from the private collection
of Ron Robinson.
