Saturday evening when the
U.C.W. hold their annual
strawberry and ham supper. And
again on Sunday morning when
the Sunday School observe their
anniversary at 10 a.m. A special
welcome is extended to all to hear
Leonard Epp, Parkhill and a
choral group from Wallenstein,
Ont. at this service.
Service in the United Church
last Sunday was led by Rev. A.M.
Schlenker, Crediton due to the
absence of Rev. Harold Dobson.
He and Mrs. Dobson were in
Northern Ontario owing to the
death of Mrs. Dobson's father
there,
Bob Clarke, Bill Austin and
Jerry Bardawell spent a few days
recently fishing at Key River in
the Georgian Bay area. Jerry
also visited his father who is ill in
Sault Ste. Marie.
The family of Mrs. Evaline
Steeper entertained her by dining
at the "Garage" in London
Sunday evening, the occasion
being her 86th birthday.
Mrs. Bill Clarke is visiting with
relatives in Newfoundland.
Mr. & Mrs. Henry Nugent,
Finch, Ont. and Jack Nugent and
his daughter, Toronto, were

Selbourne English.

at Zion service

Zion West held their annual
Sunday school anniversary
Sunday. The choir composed of
members of the Sunday school
rendered three anthems under
the direction of Mrs. Lorne Hern
on the piano.
Alan Hern read the scripture.
The mural painted on the front
wall was dedicated in honor of the
late Mrs. Wilson Morley. The
symbolism was explained by the
artist Coleman Bowman son-in-
law of Mrs. Morley.
Mrs. Gwen Whilsmith, Exeter
was guest speaker, stressing
being a doer. Rev. John Beaton
was in charge of the service.
