Times-Advocate, May 24, 1973 Production started
at new IF plant
Construction of a new
manufacturing plant at the east
end of Exeter for JF Farm
Machinery is being completed
today.
JF president Eric Gravlev
announced this week that
manufacturing had begun in the
new building which provides
21,000 square feet of floor space.
Work on the assembly line
producing forage boxes actually
started last week with 17 persons
employed in manufacturing,
Four others are involved in
shipping,
Central and South America,
Italy, Germany and Israel,
JF has warehouses in St.
Dominic Quebec, Pewamo,
Michigan; 'Tampa, Florida; and
Jackson, Mississippi.
Gravlev added, "our truck is in
Quebec every ten days on
deliveries and returns with
equipment from another
manufacturing plant in the
Ottawa area.
The woodworking on the forage
boxes is being done by Exeter
Furniture under contract,
While forage boxes are
manufactured here, the local
firm acts as an export agent and
distributors for other items of
farm equipment .
Stone pickers are being sent to
Israel. Heavy duty loaders, dozer
blades and fertilizer spreaders
are going overseas and to
Eastern North America.
Locally built forage boxes are
destined for Ontario, Quebec,
British Columbia, the Maritimes
and more than 25 states below the
border.
Overseas exports will end up in

voices blended together in song.
Clandeboye was a hive of ac-
tivity on Saturday morning when
a car went out of control on the
curve and careened into the ditch
while trying to avoid an animal
on the road. The four occupants
were taken by Hasketts am-
bulance to St. Joseph's Hospital.
They are residents of Huron
Park.

Rollings„ Tuesday. About 28

train to attend from May 17 to 19.

About 75 girls of the C.G.I.T.
and their mothers from Elim-
ville, Thames Road sat down to a
delicious supper last Tuesday
evening in the church basement.
Toasts to the queen, mothers and
daughters were presented.
Carol Allen sang a solo ac-
companied by Mrs. Phil Johns.
Mrs. Glen Stewart, one of the
leaders was in charge of the
graduation ceremony. Those
presented with graduation pins
were Carolyn Glanville, Laura
Johns, Judy Parsons and Sylvia
Stewart,
The other two leaders, Mrs.
Arnold Cann and Mrs. Edward
Johns took part in the meeting.
Barbara Miller gave a very
humorous reading. Sylvia
Stewart also assisted in the
programme.
Eleanor Johns introduced Mrs.
Barry Robinson who showed two
films "Glimpses of India" and "A
Glimpse of Rural India" and
gave an interesting talk about the
films.

Various projects of the
Ausable-Bayfield Conservation
Authority will be viewed and
discussed on the Roy Jewell farm
show, Sunday May 27 on CFPL
TV, London. Mr. Jewell and his
film crew toured the watershed
with several members of the
municipalities discussing the
history and future projects of the
Authority.
Some of the areas visited were
Morrison Dam, Rock Glen
Conservation Area, and Parkhill
Conservation Area. The
Authority's tree spade was
demonstrated at the latter area.
