to all the individuals in that given
society, namely Exeter.
5) Since you seem to be bent on
dealing with the younger
populace of Exeter, prepare a
program by which you can work
WITH the young element instead
of helping to create an at-
mosphere which is "undesirable"
to say the least.
6) If possible, the next thing
you would be doing is at-
tempting to gain a little
RESPECT for your force,
because, believe me, you haven't
got it now.
Chief, if you read this, please
consider my position and don't let
me down. I'm counting on you
and the good men of your force to
provide Exeter with a good
policing program, not one of
discrimination. Kids are only
human.
— Contiued from Page 19
All one has to do is to look at
the front page of the Times
Advocate and you can read about
the "crackdown" by the Town
Police and Chief Day. I agree
with Chief Day in that a drug-
orientated society is not
desirable, but neither is a police
state. Drugs are the Chief's big
thing right now.
To return to the main issue
"Chief, give us a fair shake,"
"Hell", the kids of this town could
"get on" all right and be good
people but your pressure and
attitude forces people to rebel
because they don't like it. I'm not
saying we're angels but we can
be responsible.
Well I said before I'd provide
some solutions, so here they are:
1) Chief, quit treating kids as
something special and just see
them for what they are.
2) The law forbids age
discrimination.
3) Exercise the law as it applies
to all society, not just those under
23 or so.
4) Prepare a constructive
police force which carries the law
It's an odd thing but, in-
ternationally speaking, oil seems
to cause a lot of friction,
We're sorry we had to
disappoint several people
who had no reservations
