and Mrs. N. Keith McKinnon, Toronto and John Alan MocNaughton,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles S. MacNaughton, were united in marriage
in a lovely candlelight wedding in Rosedale United Church, Toronto,
May 4, 1973. Rev, Barry Brooks officiated. A reception followed in the
ballroom of the St. Lawrence Hail. Following a short honeymoon, Mr.
and Mrs. Mact•laughton will reside in Rosedale, Toronto.

About 65 cadet counsellors and
their wives from 15 churches in
the Huron and Erie District
gathered at the Christian
Reformed Church Monday for a
banquet and social evening.
Cadets is an organization
within that church for boys 10 to
15 years of age.

and Peter Reerda, London is the
new president of the group.
in addition to their individual
activities the groups come
together for a winter sports meet,
which was held at The Pinery this
winter and spring ,eadetery,
which was held in Blyth.
The head office of the
.organizationn is inGrandRapids,
Michigan and the annual 'con-
vention will be held in Chicago in
July.
Exeter hosted the event for the
district which takes in ap-
proximately St. Thomas and
London to Lucknow.
The purpose of the banquet was
to wind up the cadet season and to
show the appreciation of the
counsellors to their wives.
About 375 cadets take ad-
vantage of the program in the
Huron-Erie district. Their theme
is "Living for Jesus" and they
combine a program of Bible
study, arts and crafts and sports.

of six for one counsellor, The

Thirty six members answered
the roll call and Mildred Webber
won the mystry prize.
A donation of $25.00 is to be sent
to the Cystic Fibrosis Foun-
dation.
Plans were made to attend the
Zone Rally on May 16 in Brussels
and also to entertain some of the
patients at Westminster Hospital
with Bingo on May 30,
Election of Officers was held
and the installation will take
place Thursday May 17. The new
officers are as follows president,
Irene Jackson, 1st vice, Bernice
Shipman, 2nd vice Noel Weslake,
secretary, Annie Lawson,
treasurer, Norma Brintnell,
executive officers, Pauline Dyck,
Esther Hillman, Alva Heywood,

Sgt.-at-arms, Norma Jones.

Mauve shasta daisies and
candles graced the front of
Centralia United Church for the
wedding of Evelyn Marie Powe
and James Ronald Brittain
Rev. J. Beaton officiated for
the double ring ceremony. The
wedding music was provided by
David Elston with Mary Anne
Alton as soloist.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride wore an A-line
floor length gown of peau de soie
with lace bodice and detachable
train. The elbow length veil was
trimmed with lace.
Elaine Powe, sister of the
bride, was maid of honour and
the bridesmaids were Jean Wells,
Toronto, Margaret Haist,
Caledonia and Cathy Dean, sister
of the groom, Oshawa.
The bridesmaids were dressed
alike in empire styled floor length
gowns of mauve and pink
polyester. They wore wide
brimmed mauve hats and carried
bouquets of mauve shasta
daisies. The flower girl, Robine
Dean, niece of the groom, was
gowned in a pink nylon floor
length dress and she carried a
basket of daisies.
Dan Brittain, brother of the
groom, Oshawa was the best
man. Ushers were Gary Sorley,
cousin of the groom, Niagara
Falls, Brian Brittain, brother of
the groom, Oshawa and Alan
Powe, brother of the bride. The
rintbearer was Bruce Culp,
cousin of the groom, Niagara
Falls,
The wedding reception was
held at Crediton Community
Centre. The couple will reside at
Bramalea where the bride is
employed by Northern Electric
as a programmer analyst, The
groom will be entering graduate
work at the University of
Waterloo.
The bride is the daughter of Mr:

and the groom is the son of Mr. &
