A party was held during Education Week for youngsters from two to five years of age who were part of the project. Part of the group is shown above, By MRS. ROSS SKINNER ELIMVILLE The April meeting of the Min-Mlle Women's Institute was held on Wednesday evening with a pot-luck supper. The 4-H members and leaders and mothers were guests. Following a delicious meal the meeting opened with the president in charge, Roll call was answered by paying fees and written suggestions for next year's program. A skit was presented by 4-H girls from Club No. 1 from the previous club "The Third Meal", Mrs. Philip Johns and Mrs, Howard Pym led in a sing-song. Mrs. Floyd Cooper presented gifts to Joan Pym and Judy Hern for receiving county honours. Achievement Day for the present club will be at Exeter High School May 5. Mrs. Delmer Skinner gave the report of the District meeting held in Hensall. The Fall Rally will be held at Centralia College October 12 and the District Annual at Caven Presbyterian Church Exeter on May 16 with Hurondale as hostesses. The Officers Conference is at Waterloo College May 1, 2 and 3, Mrs. Murray Coward was named as delegate to attend. The Cancer Canvass for the district was $986.25. The annual meeting was then held, All officers gave their reports for the standing com- mittees. Mrs. Lynn gave a summary of her work as president. Mrs. Philip Hern in- stalled the new officers. A showing of member's winter projects and crafts were on display. Mrs. Philp Johns, new president announced the executive meeting to be held Monday evening, The newly elected officer are: honorary president, Mrs, Elson Lynn; president, Mrs. Philip Johns; first vice president, Mrs. Howard Pym; second vice president, Mrs. Murray Coward; secretary- treasurer, Mrs. Carl Gower; assistant, Mrs. Clifton Jaques; district director, Mrs. Delmer Skinner; alternate, Mrs, Ross Skinner; public relations, Mrs. Clifton Jaques. Standing committees are: agriculture and Canadian in- dustries, Mrs. Emerson Penhale and Mrs. Danny Coward; citizenship and world affairs, Mrs. Floyd. Cooper and Mrs. Ivan Brock; education and cultural activities, Mrs. Freeman Horne; family and consumer affairs, Mrs. Murray Coward and Mrs, Ron Fletcher; public relations and resolutions, Mrs. Clifton Jaques and Mrs. Elson Lynn; Tweedsrnuir history,Mrs, Theron Creery and Mrs. Horace Delbridge. A special. Good Friday 'service was held at Elimville church on Friday evening. Both Thames Road and Elimville members were in the choir assisted by Mrs. Philip Johns at the organ and Miss Agnes Bray at the piano. Rev. Barry Robinson carried in "The Cross" placing it at the front and led in a most inspiring service followed by communion with everyone going to the front in groups to partake of the Lord's Supper.
