MacDonald, Principal, at the conclusion of Centralia College's sixth annual Open House display. Ontario's newest Agricultural College, located at Huron Park, has been growing steadily since its inception in 1967. This year, Open House included a wide variety of displays and exhibits, all explaining various facets of the three courses at the College. With two-year diploma programs in Animal Health Technology, Agricultural Business Management and Home Economics there were a lot of different things to see. One of the highlights of the two- day Open House was the fashion show. This year Mrs. Gisele Riberdy from Tilbury was selected a top student for her performance in the show. Miss Ruth Skinner from RR 3, Exeter presented a prize to Mrs. Riberdy on behalf of the South Huron Women's Institute. The Home Economics students also gave a number of food demonstrations and Miss Diane Walker from 71" ..endale was selected as the tog. demonstrator by the Ontario Dietetic Association. always The popular agricultural displays were supported this year by the three cross bred calves loaned by Mr. S. Brand of RR 5, Forest, Ontario. They, along with a welding demonstration provided plenty •of action for interested students and parents. Many other displays focussing on the agricultural course and farming in Ontario were also present. The Junior Year Hematology display was judged the best in the Animal Health Technology Building. Dr. R. Moore, Animals for Research Branch with the Ministry of Agriculture and Food was on hand to do the judging. The live surgery demonstration was also a highlight of the Animal Health Technology displays. USBORNE CENTRAL SCHOOL Presents their annual Spring Program Theme "A Salute to Disney" THURS. & FRI. Consider rebate for fish peddlar A fish peddlar who had asked council for consideration in cutting their peddler's license fee by half met with only minor success this week. After some discussion, members did agree to consider the request again if the applicant submits a letter outlining his reason for not paying the full $50. Council learned he has already paid the $50 but had hoped to get half that returned. Clerk Eric Carscadden in- dicated a former peddlar had been charged only $25 although the fee was set at $50. The clerk also noted that bread companies selling from door-to- door don't pay any fee at all. When asked why, Carscadden replied: "because we haven't caught up to them yet."
