PLENTY OF TOYS - Many articles of interest to children were on dis-
play at the South Huron Hospital Auxiliary rummage sale, Friday arid
Saturday. Above, John Giffin takes time to play a game of bagatelle.
T-A photo
Several years ago I took a
course in oil painting. As a
beginner, I was delighted to see
how much my paintings seemed
to improve when they were
framed. I even hung a few in my
living room. One afternoon, an
artist friend was visiting and, as
we talked I saw her glancing
furtively at the paintings,
Finally, she could contain herself
no longer. "Where did you get
those pictures?" she asked.
Timidly, I replied, "I did
them,"
"Oh," she breathed a sigh of
relief, "I'm so glad you didn't pay
money for them!"
