Sunday they were all guests with
Mr. & Mrs. Barry Oliver, New
Hamburg.

spent the weekend with her

Knits" 4-H Club, opened with the
4-H pledge with all girls present,
For roll call the girls answered
with a creative idea for the
fashion show, Nearly finished
garments have to be done in
readiness for modelling.
Mrs. Kelders read a letter from
Home Economist Catherine Hunt
about the Achievement Day April
28 and the choice of topics for
next spring was voted on.
Euchre
The Women's Institute held a
successful euchre with 10 tables
playing. Prize winners were:
ladies high, Mrs. Ross Love; low,
Mrs. Shaw; men's high, Hugh
Morenz; low, Ed Gill; and lone
hands, Langford Ridley,
Parkhill,
Emery Desjardine won the
draw for the dozen home-made
doughnuts.
Orpha Club
The Orpha Club met at the
home of Mrs. Susan Devine who
opened by reading a poem. Bills
for materials are to be paid, and
a donation of $10 made to Bunny
Bundle.
Mrs. Louise Wilson offered her
home for the next meeting on
April 17. Many donations of
colorful Easter clothes to be sent
to orphans were displayed. The
closing poem was read by Mrs.
Susie Devine.

On Friday afternoon Mrs. A.
Hamilton and Mrs. F. Plumb
attended a workshop on Women's
Institute business in the Legion
Hall at Hensall, led by Mrs. M.
Pardy, editor of "Home and
Country" the institute's
magazine.
The Bluewater Shrine Club had
its regular dinner meeting of 41
Shrines on Wednesday at the
Village Inn. Potentate Ken
Hodgins and his Divan of other
officers were guests.
Storm winds blew the big sign
of the Museum down recently.
Mr. & Mrs. Glenn Grindlay
returned from a holiday at
Edgewater, Florida. They also
visited Doug Macklin at
Homassassa Springs. and others.

Mr. & Mrs. Walter Fydenchuk
and Anne were in St. Catharines
recently to visit Mr. Fydenchuk's
father.
Rev. & Mrs. Armin Schlenker
returned Friday from a two-week
tour of Florida. A highlight of the
tour was a visit to the Coral Ridge
Presbyterian church of Fort
Lauderdale where there are so
many worshippers the Sunday
morning service has to be divided
into three sessions. They saw the
Stephen Foster Memorial at
White Springs, Disney World,
Cypress Gardens, Homosassa
Springs, Weeki Wachee, and had
an airboat ride through the
Everglades.
