Chairman Bruce Shaw presented report from the committee explaining the work required at bOth buildings, Total .expenditure at the fire hall is expected to be around $7,404. Of that total, $4,400 is for the replacement of the large front. doors and this has already been approved by -council. The balance is for interior and exterior repair and renovation. Council authorized 81,100 to be spent at the present time .until the town budget is approved, "We should appreci4te ..the fact the firemen are . doing the work themselves and saving us a lot of money," Shaw stated in making his report. Other members commented on the work being done by the firemen, Expenditure at the library is expected to be around $2,200, most of which will be recovered through the rent paid by the county library board. London man. wins The first of the monthly 50-50 draws of the Grand Bend Lions club was held recently. The winner of $232 in prize money was Keith Whitlox of London. The winning ticket was sold by Lion Danny Sageman and drawn by one of the newest members of the Grand Bend Lions club George Kadlecik.
